Donald Trump recalled Megyn Kelly's question about his treatment of women during a rally in Georgia on Saturday night

Donald Trump reignited his feud with former Fox News host Megyn Kelly during a rally in Georgia, claiming she ‘made a career’ by ‘pretending’ to like him.

The Republican front-runner, 77, was campaigning in the city of Rome on Saturday night when he recalled the first GOP presidential debate of 2015, which Kelly moderated — opening with her pressing him on his treatment of women.

‘Megyn Kelly. May she rest in peace, Trump said, drawing laughter from the crowd. “She’s kind of making a career out of pretending to like me.”

The former TV host, 53, left Fox for NBC, only to be fired from the network in 2018 after defending blackface on her morning talk show.

In her latest career move, Kelly has launched a conservative podcast focused on denouncing ‘wokeness’.

“She’s kind of making a career out of pretending to like me,” Trump said of the former Fox News host, who interviewed him in September 2023

“They asked me that horrible, horrible question, remember?” Trump continued. And I said, “Oh, am I dead?” That’s the first question I’ve ever been asked.’

The question referenced Trump’s past comments about women.

“You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,” Kelly said. “Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”

After the debate, Trump launched a series of verbal attacks against the former TV host, calling Kelly a ‘bimbo’ and suggesting she ‘had blood coming out of her eyes or blood coming out of her anywhere’.

On Saturday night, he distanced himself from the insults for a tangent about how many women support his campaign.

Last summer, Kelly declared the years-long feud ‘under the bridge’ and even showered Trump with compliments during a Turning Point USA conference in July.

“There’s just something about him, it’s like an aura that kind of takes over the room,” she said at the time.

‘There is only one person you can look at. He couldn’t have been nicer or more generous and had some interesting thoughts on the debates about whether he should attend.’

The former president agreed to an interview with Kelly last September. During the hour-long sit-down, Kelly praised him for how he answered her questions during the debate nearly a decade earlier.

While the former anchorwoman has continued to defend Trump since then, the gesture backfired, with Trump blasting her at an Iowa rally just days after the interview.

“She suddenly became more disgusting,” Trump said. “She was pretty ugly, didn’t you think anyone saw it.”

During the interview, Kelly approached the septuagenarian about his handling of classified documents after leaving the White House.

She recounted how his lawyers had claimed to have turned over all materials requested in the subpoena, only for federal agents to later recover others.
