Karl Stefanovic was caught out on Christmas Day for making an unfortunate mistake during the busy morning of celebrations.
His wife Jasmine took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to give insight into their hectic festivities with their four-year-old daughter Harper.
He posted a photo of a stressed-looking Karl trying to assemble a pink Barbie car for Harper while surrounded by loose parts and the instruction manual.
The Today Show host, 50, made a rookie mistake by only building the vehicle on Christmas Day morning, which no doubt left Harper on hold to play with it.
In an accompanying caption, Jasmine poked fun at her mistake as she wrote, “Don’t think your plan to do it on Christmas morning was very wise.”
It’s not the first time this Christmas that the couple has had a hard time putting together Barbie-themed gifts.

She posted a photo of a stressed-looking Karl trying to put together a pink Barbie car for Harper, since he made a rookie mistake and only put it together on Christmas morning.
Earlier in the day, Jasmine shared a photo that showed her trying to put together a ‘2000 piece’ Barbie dream house for Harper.
Jasmine sat on the floor next to the unassembled pieces with a frustrated expression on her face as she worked hard to try to put the game together.
She hilariously captioned the image: ‘How fun Christmas is, thank you.’ Barbie Dreamhouse comes in 2000 pieces.’
The Barbie Dreamhouse set actually comes with around 75 pieces to assemble and usually takes between 45 minutes to an hour.
Their Christmas celebrations come just days after the family suffered a major scare when Harper disappeared for an hour while they were on holiday in Noosa.
Police were called to her holiday home in Noosa about 4.20pm on December 16 when Harper disappeared from her sprawling holiday home, overlooking the beach.
Panicked Karl, 50, and his wife Jasmine, 40, frantically scoured the area as a Queensland Police helicopter hovered overhead searching for Harper.
It wasn’t the first time on Christmas Day that the couple had some difficulty putting together Barbie-themed gifts, as Jasmine also had a difficult time putting together a dream house for Harper.
Neighbors also joined the search and checked nearby streets and bush paths, while Karl’s eldest daughter Willow, 19, and her boyfriend Genaro Abdala García checked the beach.
Fortunately, Harper was found an hour later “curled asleep under a chair where no one could have hidden” at their vacation home, Karl told the Daily Telegraph.
Willow has returned to Australia to spend the Christmas holidays with her family after moving to the UK to study at the London College of Fashion.
Karl shares Willow and his two other older children, Jackson, 24, and River, 17, with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
