Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic have started working on their dream home.
The couple are renovating their property in Castlecrag, Sydney, to the tune of $4.5 million, after a major court victory in March.
On Sunday, Karl posted a progress update on his Instagram Stories, showing how work was being done on the roof.
“Take it down,” Stefanovic wrote in his caption alongside the image of the mansion’s progress.
The photo showed the roof removed as they moved through the upgrade process.
Karl, 50, had a long dispute with Willoughby Council over plans to transform his modest home into a four-storey mansion.

A design sketch shows that the finished property will feature a stunning contemporary design, spacious surroundings, French windows and an internal circular staircase.
It will also feature an elegant terrace for alfresco dining with adjacent stairs and a host of gorgeous architectural touches including high ceilings and sloping windows.
An extensive garden will be included alongside the house, which is the perfect place for Karl and his wife Jasmine Yarbrough, 40, to raise their four-year-old daughter Harper.
Melbourne-based architectural design firm Studio Kennon also shared a photo of the mock-up on social media, and Karl and Jasmine were quick to comment.
“Can we have it now?” Jasmine asked and Karl posted a love heart emoji.
In March, Karl and Jasmine finally got approval for their lavish $4.5 million renovation on Sydney’s north shore.
After a two-day hearing earlier this year, the Land and Environment Court ruled in favor of the celebrity couple, the Daily Telegraph.
The decision was made after Stefanovic first lodged a development application with council in March 2023, for the Castlecrag property, in one of Sydney’s most sought-after postcodes.

The couple became embroiled in a long-running dispute with Willoughby Council over their plans to transform their modest home in Castlecrag into a four-storey mansion. The Channel Nine Today star bought the 1960s brick-built home in March 2021 for $3.2 million.
Neighbors responded to the district attorney with a number of concerns including “loss of views” and glare from solar panels.

The application revealed the couple’s plans to build a four-storey house on the site, including 102 square meters of below-grade living space.
The DA says “the quality of life” for occupants will “improve” under the plans, while the proposal aims to “improve the streetscape and contribute positively to the town”.
The celebrity couple’s legal team stated that the renovation was “generally compliant” with planning laws set out by Willoughby Council.
However, it did not comply with floor plan space ratio controls consistent with local planning regulations.
This is where the relationship between the constructed area of a site and the size of the land on which the building sits is measured.
In addition to Harper, Karl also has three grown children: Jackson, 24, Willow, 19, and River, 17, from his marriage to Cassandra Thorburn.

The former couple confirmed their separation in 2016 after 21 years of marriage, and Karl found love again with Jasmine in late 2016.
Karl and Jasmine, a former model, married at the One&Only Palmilla Resort in Las Cabos, Mexico, on December 8, 2018, and welcomed Harper in May 2020.
Despite their age difference, half-sisters Willow and Harper have forged a close bond.
Willow previously went by her name Ava before opting to use her middle name.
Karl recently revealed that Willow is following her dreams in the fashion and modeling industry, studying fashion in London as an international student.
She began her studies in the United Kingdom last year and is currently pursuing a degree at the London College of Fashion.
It is a prestigious University of the Arts London, a collection of six of the most prestigious arts colleges in the world.
It hires on a global scale and its list of alumni reads like a who’s who of the creative industries, from illustrator Quentin Blake to Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine.
According to the university’s website, tuition fees for first-year international students studying a bachelor’s degree in fashion design cost approximately $55,000 for that year alone.
Willow is ready to follow in her famous father’s footsteps and begin a career in the spotlight, signing with Precision MGMT to launch a modeling career.
