The Kansas City Chiefs released a quote from Travis Kelce’s speech after the team won the Super Bowl earlier this year to honor their tight end, who celebrates his 35th birthday on Saturday.
Kelce was one of the central figures of the February show due to his relationship with Taylor Swift.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has never been shy about sharing his opinions, and this one in particular, said on stage at Allegiant Stadium, became iconic.
‘There’s no need to fight for your right to party today. HBD, @killatrav!’ the Chiefs said on Instagram.
Kelce’s quote itself is a shout-out to the Beastie Boys song ‘Fight for Your Right,’ with the tight end shouting it into the microphone.

Kansas City cited Kelce’s iconic speech after winning the Super Bowl earlier this year.
Kelce said the phrase moments after a meeting with Swift, who hurriedly flew in from Japan after a block of shows on her ‘Eras Tour’ to see the game in person.
Swift has attended 15 Chiefs games since beginning her relationship with Kelce last September, and Kansas City has a 12-3 record in those contests. That includes a 2-0 record this season.
Swift could attend Monday’s game against the Saints, with Travis’ older brother, Jason Kelce, on the ESPN call for the first time since retiring from football.
Swift attended all four of the Chiefs’ playoff games last season, all of which took place in different cities.
Monday’s game will take place in Kansas City, the place where Swift watched Chiefs games in person this season.
It is unknown whether or not Kelce will have his girlfriend in the audience at his first game at age 35.
