The high school senior and social media star, 17, has long been open about how she hopes to one day cheer in the NFL for her father’s football team — and now she’s one step closer to completing that goal.
She announced via Instagram on Sunday that she had officially committed to SMU’s cheer squad this fall, something that made her parents extremely “proud.”
‘It’s official! So beyond grateful for the opportunity to keep doing what I love,’ gushed the teenager as she shared a carousel of photos from the moment she signed her contract with the school.

One showed her placing her pen on the paper to write her name as she grinned from ear to ear, while another showed her sitting next to her new trainers – with her parents standing supportively behind her.
A third saw her standing alone with her mum and dad as they all smiled at the camera.
Ava’s mother, former beauty queen Tavia Hunt, took it upon herself to reveal how proud she and her husband were of their daughter amid the feat.

Tavia, 52, also made sure to thank Ava’s trainers for ‘pouring into’ her daughter ‘for years’.
“Your example, love and mentorship has deeply affected all of us and what you do matters,” she added.
