In one Video shared again last monthHarris gave advice on how to season a turkey during a 90-second break between television interviews in 2019.
She suggests using kosher salt, freshly ground pepper and some chopped thyme.
‘So salt and pepper all over, like you’re soaping up the baby, on the outside and in the cavity,’ Harris says.
‘Mix it with a little thyme, you can also add a little rosemary under the skin with a little butter before cooking.’
He also said you should drizzle the turkey with a little white wine and butter.
Other videos from her short-lived YouTube series, Cooking With Kamala, have also gained renewed attention amid her presidential campaign.
In it most popular episodeWith more than six and a half million views, it shows Harris preparing masala dosa with actress Mindy Kaling, who begins by saying, “I don’t want to suffer the consequences of our future president not liking my Indian food,” before the two bond over their shared South Indian heritage.
In another episode, Harris attributes her love of cooking to her childhood.
“My mother told me, ‘Honey, you like to eat well. You better learn how to cook,'” she recalls.
But Harris is now facing backlash for her refusal to answer questions from the press.
After promising to do an interview later this month, Harris’ campaign decided to hold an interview that will air Thursday night on CNN with the network’s chief political correspondent and anchor, Dana Bash.
The most popular video on Harris’ short-lived YouTube series, Cooking with Kamala, featured actress Mindy Kaling.
But the interview will also include vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, prompting some Republican strategists to attack Harris.
“I think it’s incredibly lazy to show up with your running mate,” said Scott Jennings, a former George W. Bush White House official. He told CNNwhere he works as a commentator.
He said the move showed a “worrying lack of confidence in his political ability.”
“The fact is they don’t have enough confidence in her to let her sit on the top of the list and do one interview,” he continued, speaking on Anderson Cooper’s late-night show on the network.
“In fact, I think the moaning and rambling on about this issue over the past month shows a worrying lack of confidence in his political ability,” he added.
“I think Republicans are going to think it’s pretty weak to run someone who’s effectively taking up half the time,” he said.
