Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter was kidnapped in New York City after her Secret Service team got into an altercation with a man outside a restaurant.
The incident ended with the suspect being led away in handcuffs.
Emhoff, 25, the daughter of second gentleman Doug Emhoff, lives in Brooklyn.
A video shows one of Emhoff’s plainclothes officers confronting a man outside a Tribeca restaurant where they were standing guard while she dined inside.
The person recording the video can be heard saying the man had ripped off a vehicle’s license plate. More videos show NYPD officers leading the suspect away in handcuffs.
Emhoff could be seen being placed in the back of a pickup truck before driving away.

The man was making a fuss about NYPD parking placards given to police agencies so they can park without having to circle the block, TMZ reported.
Their sources said the man approached and began a confrontation with the Secret Service agent without realizing he was an agent.
During the argument, the man ripped the license plate off a Secret Service vehicle, at which point police were called.
A witness said Emhoff and a friend were inside during the altercation, but were then quickly taken out and placed in a van before it drove away.
The suspect, described as an “anti-police vigilante,” has not been identified.
“On Tuesday afternoon, an individual approached two parked United States Secret Service vehicles in lower Manhattan and, without provocation, caused damage to the rear license plate area of both,” a Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement provided to DailyMail.com about the incident.
“Secret Service agents quickly detained the individual until local authorities arrived and took him into police custody. At no time was any protected person in danger as a result of this incident,” they said.

The altercation comes at a time when Emhoff has gained attention with his stepmother Harris front and center as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
Emhoff, a model and artist, recently came to her stepmother’s defense after a video surfaced of 2021 Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance criticizing her and other Democrats for being childless cat ladies.
