Kamala Harris has been brutally mocked online after she attempted to touch sharp silicon during a tour of a semiconductor factory in Michigan.

Vice President Harris, 60, was told to keep her hands to herself while visiting Hemlock Semiconductors in Saginaw on Monday.

But the Democrat nearly caused panic when she walked up to a sharp U-rod and asked, “Can I touch it?”

“Don’t touch it,” the alarmed factory worker quickly responded.

Harris later said, “I’m glad I asked.”

When employees showed Harris a plate of pieces of silicon crystal and reminded her that they were “very sharp,” she responded, “Okay…and shiny!”

Social media users were quick to share a clip of the moment as they trolled the Democratic presidential candidate.

Former Republican National Committee communications specialist Steve Guest compared the moment to a scene from the HBO show VEEP.

“Next he will try to look at the sun during an eclipse,” said X user David Schloss.

“Silicone can be very sharp, but Kamala is not,” said another X user.

It comes as Harris has stepped up her campaign just a week before the election.

In Michigan, Harris courted working-class voters, highlighting the administration’s efforts to bring more factory jobs to the state and its support for unions.

In Saginaw, he toured the semiconductor factory to emphasize how government funding for computer chip makers could create jobs in Michigan factories. He visited days after Trump criticized the bipartisan 2022 law that provides federal money and said he would prefer to simply collect tariffs.

It comes as Trump received a big boost when Republicans took a surprising lead over Democrats in early voting in the battleground state of Nevada.
