A Democratic strategist attributed Kamala Harris’ election loss to her inability to differentiate herself from President Biden.

While experts and analysts point their fingers at an infinite number of reasons for the Democrats’ failure in the elections, James Carville has reduced it to a moment.

Speaking to Tim Miller on ‘The Bulwark Podcast, James Carville said Harris didn’t answer a simple question while appearing on The View.

Asked by host Sunny Hostin if she would have done anything differently than Biden, Harris told her nothing occurred to her.

And he added: ‘The country wants something different. And he was asked, as is often the case, in a friendly audience, on ‘The View’: ‘How would you be different from Biden?’ That’s the only question you exist to answer, okay? That’s all.”

He was also asked what he saw as the specific difference between a Harris presidency and a Biden presidency.

Harris said, “We’re obviously two different people.” One of the topics I focus on is what we do with home health care.

Before Tuesday’s beating, Carville had predicted that Harris would pull off a victory, even though polls showed Donald Trump in a better position.

He has since expressed his frustration with Americans for following Trump’s ‘shit,’ saying the outcome was depressing.

Carville said, “So I have to reevaluate.” I’m sure I’ll come up with something that makes me feel good again, but right now it’s hard, I’ll be honest.

“And the hardest thing is, I look across the country and I see tens of millions of people falling for that shit, and it’s depressing.”

Trump insulted Harris for her comments on The View, saying, “She said I can’t think of anything.” I think the other person asking the question is dumber than Kamala.

“She didn’t know what the hell to say,” Trump said of Harris’ response. “But think about it, it was a softball question.”

Trump said Harris should have mentioned the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel or something else.

‘How about the fact that the United States is a laughing stock around the world? What if he failed in the witch hunt? Trump said.

While Harris focused much of her initial message on themes of joy, Trump channeled a powerful sense of anger and resentment among voters.

He tapped into frustrations over high prices and fears about crime and immigrants entering the country illegally during Biden’s presidency.

He also highlighted the wars in the Middle East and the Russian invasion of Ukraine to present Democrats as presiding over – and encouraging – a world in chaos.

It was a formula Trump perfected in 2016, when he presented himself as the only person who could solve the country’s problems, often borrowing the language of dictators.

Trump’s victory against Harris, the first woman of color to lead a major party ticket, marks the second time he has defeated a female rival in a general election.

Harris rose to the top of the list after Biden dropped out of the race amid alarm over her advanced age.

Despite an initial surge of energy around his campaign, he struggled under a compressed schedule to convince disillusioned voters that he represented a break with an unpopular administration.
