Kamala Harris’ campaign manager was questioned Thursday for having “personally” interpreted the election “so badly” after the Democratic presidential candidate conceded electoral defeat to Donald Trump.

Speaking on CNN, host Jake Tapper asked Rep. Roberto Garcia, Harris’ campaign co-chair, about why the Democratic Party lost Latino male votes to Trump.

García affirmed that Harris ‘won the Latino vote in general’ but confessed that Democrats had ‘a lot of work to do with Latino men’ after this week’s election result.

But Tapper responded to the congressman, who is also Latino, asking, “How could you be so wrong?”

‘There is a Latina producer on my team from Los Angeles who has been seeing this folk phenomenon in her community moving well for years. I don’t think he was surprised. I know she wasn’t surprised by what happened. You were. So how did you get it so wrong?’ the presenter continued.

Garcia’s questioning on television comes after President-elect Trump made a stunning political comeback after commanding the support of 46 percent of all Latino voters, the most of any Republican in modern history.

Garcia admitted that he was surprised by Harris’ loss and admitted how he and several colleagues in Congress believed the vice president had consolidated the Latino male vote.

‘Look, she still won, obviously, among Latinos overwhelmingly. She won the Latino vote overall, but there is a lot of work to be done with Latino men, and I think that’s something that we as Democrats have to get involved in.

‘I think particularly of those of us who are Latino, those of us who are immigrants like me, who came to this country, who work hard, whose family worked hard in search of a better life,’ he concluded.

Garcia’s television appearance comes after MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough claimed that “racist Hispanics” and “sexist black men” are to blame for Harris’ election loss.

The Morning Joe host made the controversial claim Wednesday while discussing Trump’s landslide victory in the White House.

Speaking to the Rev. Al Sharpton, Scarborough, who previously appeared to accept the result, said “Democrats need to be mature and honest.”

“It’s misogyny on the part of Hispanic men, it’s misogyny on the part of black men – things we’ve all been talking about – who don’t want a woman to lead them.”

Scarborough, a former Republican, continued his rant: “But it’s not just misogyny of Hispanic men, of black men,

“(There will be) racial problems with Hispanics not wanting a black woman as president of the United States.”

“It’s time for Democrats to say…many Hispanic voters have a problem with black candidates,” Scarborough said.
