Kamala Harris continued her media blitz by letting her hair down and having a beer with Stephen Colbert on CBS’ ‘The Late Show’ Tuesday night.
Progressive darling Colbert, who briefly ended a week’s vacation to do an all-new episode with Harris in the middle of a week of reruns, pitched the idea to Harris stating that 2024 was a “vibe election.”
“I believe that elections are won with vibrations,” he said. Because one of the old beliefs is that all they want is someone they can have a beer with. So… would you like to have a beer with me so I can tell people what that’s like?
Colbert then pulled out a couple cans of Miller High Life, which the vice president had apparently requested.
Harris, apparently delighted, confessed that the last time she had a beer was at a baseball game with her husband Doug Emhoff.

After taking a sip and toasting Colbert, he proudly announced Miller High Life’s decades-old slogan: “The Champagne of Beers!”
Harris again referred to Donald Trump as a “loser” who had said “he would be a dictator from day one” on Howard Stern on Tuesday.
“Understand what dictators do,” he added. “They imprison journalists, they imprison people who protest in the street.”
Early in the chat, he chastised Republicans for spreading “misinformation” about the status of FEMA in the reaction to Hurricane Helene.
‘First of all, to all those people in North Carolina and Georgia, know that the FEMA people on the ground are there to help you, you have the right to do so. There is a lot of information and I beg you, I beg you, do not listen to it.
Harris continues her media tour Tuesday with three more interviews for national audiences, with Election Day just four weeks away.
The Democratic presidential candidate appeared in New York with the women of ‘The View,’ spoke with radio host Howard Stern and taped a show with late-night comedian Colbert.
The trio of appearances comes after Harris gave interviews to CBS’ ’60 Minutes,’ which aired Monday night, and Anderson Cooper’s podcast, which aired Sunday.
Harris emerged to raucous applause and chants of his name, and the vice president was glad everyone had pronounced it correctly.
Progressive darling Colbert, who briefly ended a week’s vacation to do an all-new episode with Harris in the middle of a week of reruns, pitched the idea to Harris stating that 2024 was a “vibe election.”
The bombardment comes after Harris has largely avoided interviews since replacing President Joe Biden atop the Democratic ticket.
Well after the halfway mark of her unexpected presidential campaign and with voting already underway, Harris is still introducing herself to the Americans who will determine her fate in this year’s presidential election.
Harris emerged to raucous applause and chants of his name, and the vice president was glad everyone had pronounced it correctly.
He stated that the “dizzying campaign” he has carried out in recent months has not seemed particularly short.
‘The only thing I can report from the ground is that people are exhausted by that tired old Donald Trump playbook and even if they voted for him in the past, they’ve had enough of the rhetoric. “It’s like, let’s chart a new path forward,” he said.
“Many Americans are ready for a new generation of leadership that is based on solutions and common sense, and that is what I am offering.”
He also joked that his funny reaction to Trump’s performance in their debate weeks ago was, essentially, ‘WTF?’
“It starts with a W, there’s a letter in the middle and the last letter is F,” he said, while letting out his trademark laugh.
Harris referred to the former president as a “sore loser” who has said he “would be a dictator from day one.”
Early in the chat, he chastised Republicans for spreading “misinformation” about the status of FEMA in the reaction to Hurricane Helene.
Harris returned to many of her talking points about an “opportunity economy” when Colbert pressed her on what a change would look like from the administration she is currently a part of.
‘Obviously I’m not Joe Biden. That would be a change. “I think it’s important to say that it’s 28 days away and I’m not Donald Trump,” Harris said.
‘It’s about, frankly, that I love the American people and I believe in our country. I love that it is our character and nature to be an ambitious people. We have aspirations, we have dreams, we have an incredible work ethic. “I just believe we can build on and build on the success we’ve achieved,” he added.
He also talked about his commonalities with Tim Walz, calling him “just like the people I grew up with” and saying he would make a “great vice president.”
Harris also said that the war in the Middle East “has to end” and that there must be an agreement in which Israel ceases fire while Hamas hands over the remaining hostages.
He avoided a question about the swing state of Pennsylvania when asked if he preferred the Philadelphia Eagles or the Pittsburgh Steelers, opting for his hometown San Francisco 49ers.
