Daichi Kamada will leave Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season. However, the SGE has apparently taken precautions and already has a successor in mind.
Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt wants to sign Farès Chaibi from FC Toulouse. This is reported by “Bild”. Accordingly, the Hessians have already agreed with the 20-year-old midfielder on a transfer in the summer.
Chaibi was trained in the youth department of Olympique Lyon, in 2019 he switched to the Under-19s of FC Toulouse. There he made his debut in the French House of Lords on the first day of the current season.
Impressive: Of 31 possible Ligue 1 games, Farès Chaibi was on the pitch 29 times, 20 times even in the starting XI. The talented right-footer provided five goals and four assists, which currently makes him the fourth-best scorer on his team.
Thanks to his outstanding performances in the French Cup, with Chaibi scoring three goals so far, Toulouse FC can also hope for a title this season. In the Coupe de France, the final against last year’s winners FC Nantes is on the program at the end of April. For Toulouse it would only be the second cup win in the club’s history.
Eintracht Frankfurt threatens transfer poker
As a reward for his strong debut season, Farès Chaibi was also called up to the Algerian national team for the first time at the end of March. He made his debut in the qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations against Niger (2-1) and was even in the starting XI for the first time in the second leg (1-0).
Meanwhile, Farès Chaibi still has a contract with FC Toulouse until 2025, but according to “Bild” FC Toulouse should be willing to talk about letting the youngster go in the summer for a reasonable transfer fee.
The French have been asking for 15 million euros so far, but the SGE currently does not want to pay more than eight million euros. Despite the alleged agreement with the player, the Eagles are threatened with a transfer poker in the coming weeks.
