Kaia Gerber reveals she got matching tattoos with The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri on a whim after becoming fast friends

Kaia Gerber revealed that she got a matching tattoo with Ayo Edebiri during a new interview with E! News.

The 22-year-old model and actress, 28, starred as Brittany and Josie in the 2023 comedy Bottoms and developed a close friendship while working on the film’s set.

The artist – who recently referred to her mum as her ‘hot date’ – went on to reveal that she cemented her friendship with the star of The Bear by receiving a bit of fresh ink.

Gerber stated: ‘I visited her on SNL and she did an amazing job. The next day I thought she was just going to stay in bed and relax after what I know is a very intense week, but she was like, “We’re getting tattoos.”

The daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber then humorously added: ‘Whatever she says, I do.’

However, the model expressed that she wanted to keep her fresh ink ‘hidden’ from the public for the time being.

Gerber also joked how her friend ‘didn’t speak’ to her after learning about the social media personality’s casting in the upcoming feature SNL 1975, in which she reunites with Bottoms’ star Rachel Sennott.

The social media personality went on to discuss how her sense of humor played into the type of roles she chose.

‘I’m the driest of the dry girl ever. Maybe that’s why I’m able to do comedies and play everything very straight,” she said.

Gerber ended by talking about her time on the set of the upcoming TV series Palm Royale and stated that she enjoyed working with her co-stars.

‘I just absorbed it all. What I love about this cast is that they all just lead by example. I saw the professionalism. I saw that none of them took themselves too seriously. We put on a very funny show, she said.

Palm Royale is based on Juliet McDaniel’s novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie, which was originally released in 2018.

The series centers on a woman who will stop at nothing to make a name for herself in Palm Beach’s high society.

The cast of the program is led by Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern, who act as two of the program’s executive producers.

Allison Janney, Carol Burnett and Ricky Martin are also set to appear on the show.

Gerber will portray a hairdresser named Mitzi, and she was added to the show’s cast in February 2022.

Palm Royale is currently scheduled to make its debut on the Apple TV+ streaming service on March 20.
