A South Korean K-drama actor has tragically died at the age of 39.
Song Jae-lim, known for starring in the television series Moon Embracing the Sun, was found dead at his home in Seoul on November 7, according to Seoul Seongdong police.
His body was found by a friend, who arrived at the apartment around 12:30 to have lunch with Song, police added.
A ‘two-page letter’ was reportedly found at the scene, reports Korean outlet Soompi. Police said there were “no signs of foul play.” The cause of Song’s death is still unknown.
Song’s family said in a statement to Yonhap News Agency that they will hold a small funeral in Seoul for family members.
The K-drama actor debuted in the movie Actresses in 2009 before becoming a star with his role as a warrior in Moon Embracing the Sun in 2012.
Song also appeared on the reality show We Got Married in 2014.
