Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz could return to the Premier League this month as the Italian side monitor Joshua Zirkzee.
The Brazilian is understood to have been offered to two top-flight teams plus Manchester City and may be allowed to leave on loan with an obligation to buy.
Luiz moved from Aston Villa this summer, but Juventus are looking to free up funds for a striker.
They are interested in Zirkzee from Manchester United, although he wants to fight for his place, so Juventus have also asked about Randal Kolo Muani at Paris St Germain on loan.
The French striker is also a target for Tottenham, United and Villa.
United, however, who drew 2-2 with rivals Liverpool on Sunday, have cooled their interest in the PSG star.

United manager Ruben Amorim, however, has said he is keen for Zirkzee to remain at the club.
Zirkzee, meanwhile, has struggled for form at United since arriving in the summer, scoring four goals in 28 appearances. He was booed at Old Trafford when he was substituted during his team’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle last week.
United could change some players in this window, while their neighbors Manchester City could add as they try to salvage their season.
Luiz previously played for City between 2017 and 2019 but made a name for himself at Villa before moving to Italy in the summer.
There he plays for the same club as his girlfriend Alisha Lehmann, but this season he has only started twice in Serie A.
United manager Ruben Amorim said of Zirkzee after Liverpool’s draw: “I want to keep Josh because he gives everything.” He is trying in training, but we don’t know; the window is open. We’ll see what happens.”
