Juventus will launch their most audacious attempt yet at pouncing for a player on a free transfer by opening talks with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Dea.

De Gea is in the final year of his present deal at Old Trafford and talks over an extension have stalled.

If this remains the case by January, he would be free to discuss terms with Juventus.
De Gea is believed to be requesting wages of around £350,000-a-week to remain in Manchester but the club are yet to agree to the terms.
The Spain international would be considered an update on Juve’s current first choice goalkeeper, former Arsenal man Wojceich Szczesny.
