He disappeared into thin air last year while facing serious theft allegations, but now it seems like Justin McKeone is popping up everywhere.
Less than a week after the troubled finance man revealed he was going to be a father, he was spotted hanging out with fellow headline-magnet Kristin Fisher.
The duo was photographed on the brow queen’s private Instagram account on Sunday, with McKeone posing shirtless while Kristin rocked a black bikini.
The two were enjoying a sunny afternoon together with another friend on what can only be described as a surprising outing (sorry, we couldn’t resist).
Fisher, who runs a successful Double Bay salon, has previously dismissed rumors that she and ‘Juzzy’ are anything more than ‘good friends’, with Daily Mail Australia not suggesting otherwise.
‘Men and women can’t be friends anymore without this nonsense?!’ moaned in 2023 in response to unfounded speculation that the two were dating following McKeone’s split from his ex-wife, former Miss Australia Olivia Molly Rogers.
Justin McKeone, 37, (left), ex-husband of model Olivia Molly Rogers, 32, (right), disappeared last November following allegations that he stole nearly $500,000 from his employer to feed his drug addiction.
Despite facing serious allegations that he stole $481,490 from his former employer and confessed to having a “serious drug habit,” life appears to be going on as usual for McKeone.
On New Year’s Day, he announced on social media that he and his Bachelor star girlfriend, Tahnee Leeson, were expecting their first child together.
Fatherhood is certainly a bold move by a man whose 2025 calendar also includes an impending civil case brought against him by his former employer.
Her legal troubles may have been a topic of conversation on Sunday, as Fisher had her own run-in with the law in 2021 when police arrested her for cocaine possession, although her conviction was later overturned.
When the beautician appeared before Waverley Local Court in October that year to have her conviction overturned, magistrate Ross Hudson took the opportunity to attack her.
She didn’t hold back when she reminded Fisher that being a wealthy socialite from the eastern suburbs didn’t put her above the law.
She was reportedly seen nodding her head when Magistrate Hudson asked her if she knew that a good reputation could be “destroyed in seconds” through bad decisions.
After being reprimanded for being caught with two bags of cocaine at her feet while in the passenger seat of a drug dealer’s car, Fisher got her wish.
Now McKeone has resurfaced alongside her friend, Double Bay brow queen Kristin Fisher (right), who has quite a controversial past.
The mother-of-two was given a six-month probation order and told she would avoid a sentence if she stayed off drugs for six months.
Three years later, a remorseful Fisher has avoided further trouble with the law, and perhaps could offer McKeone some advice as she prepares to navigate the legal system.
Asked if he wanted to comment on his friendship with McKeone, who is expected to be on the front lines this year, Fisher responded: “Don’t include me in any of your articles.” Leave me out of your garbage.’
McKeone, who was a fixture on the social pages during her brief marriage to Rogers, made headlines in November when she apparently disappeared before her scheduled appearance on the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Court documents later confirmed he had moved to Scarborough, northeast of Perth. Days after this revelation, he announced the news of his girlfriend’s pregnancy.
Fisher previously dismissed rumors that she and ‘Juzzy’ are more than just ‘good friends.’
McKeone and Leeson began an on-off relationship after the breakdown of her marriage to Rogers.
In July, Leeson denied getting back together with McKeone and told the press that they were “just friends,” although her Instagram profile seemed to tell a different story.
The couple’s pregnancy comes amid allegations McKeone stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from his employer while working as a financial manager at a Melbourne company.
According to court documents, he has been accused of stealing $481,490.33 during his five months as finance director at Rocket Brands (Cozmic Sales Pty Ltd).
McKeone was due to appear in court on December 5 to respond to a civil request for an order freezing his assets, but he failed to appear.
The court heard McKeone had not contacted his lawyers since November 11, when he was contacted by lawyers representing his former employer.
As details of the court case unfolded, McKeone packed his bags and traveled across the country to his home state of Western Australia.
Fisher had his drug conviction quashed at Waverley Local Court in October 2021.
On New Year’s Day, McKeone announced that he and his girlfriend Tahnee Leeson (left) were expecting their first child together. Fatherhood is a bold step by a man whose 2025 calendar also includes an impending civil case filed against him by his former employer.
He has hired powerful Melbourne law firm Galbally & O’Bryan to represent him.
The court had already ordered McKeone’s assets frozen totaling the amount Rocket Brands claimed he stole between May 23 and October 6.
That order was set to expire weeks ago, but was extended in McKeone’s absence.
The court heard McKeone, who once rubbed shoulders with Melbourne’s jet set, had limited access to $800 a week for living expenses and $10,000 to pay any legal fees.
McKeone joined Rocket Brands in March of last year with an annual salary of $200,000.
But just weeks into his probation, staff reportedly raised concerns about his erratic behavior.
McKeone (right) and Leeson (left) have been on and off since his split from Olivia Rogers.
Evidence presented in court alleges that other employees told Rocket Brands director Matthew Holmes that McKeone “slept in the work bathroom for up to four hours a day,” took excessively long lunch breaks and frequently left the office. without completing their tasks.
Other evidence given to the court alleged that McKeone admitted the robbery when confronted by Holmes in mid-October, as seen in court documents obtained by Daily Mail Australia.
During the meeting, evidence presented in court said McKeone allegedly confessed that he embezzled money to fund “a very serious drug habit” and told Holmes he would “do anything he could” to pay for the deal.
During last month’s hearing, lawyer Kieren Hickie of Rocket Brands asked the court to extend the freezing order to any international assets McKeone may have stashed abroad.
The court heard that McKeone had failed to comply with a “disclosure notice” due on November 24 despite assurances that he would hire a lawyer to act on his behalf.
Rocket Brands asked Judge Peter Gray to issue an interlocutory judgment (a non-final judgment that resolves one element of a claim or other issue without deciding the entire case) awarding it full restitution and legal costs.
“My client intends to proceed by applying for an interlocutory judgment to be entered against the defendant and for damages to be assessed,” Mr Hickie said.
The company also requested that its legal costs be assumed by McKeone, a request that was later granted.
McKeone and Rogers got engaged in 2019 and married in February 2022. They separated in October of that same year.
‘We are here today, clearly the defendant has not filed an appearance. “The fair, timely and cost-effective resolution of this dispute would be for an interlocutory judgment to be entered,” Mr Hickie said.
Court documents allege that McKeone disguised 114 unauthorized transactions as legitimate payments to suppliers, funneling company money into his personal bank account to allegedly fund a drug addiction.
According to court documents, McKeone allegedly used his exclusive access to Rocket’s financial systems to approve and process payments.
The affidavit alleges McKeone manipulated invoices to reflect payments to suppliers such as ‘Storage King’ and ‘Net Focus IT’ while redirecting funds to his own Westpac account.
Screenshots presented to the court allegedly show McKeone editing and approving these allegedly fraudulent transactions using the Xero software program. Holmes told the court he had not authorized any of those payments.
The alleged embezzlement was reportedly hidden in Rocket’s financial statements under the guise of “historical adjustments” totaling $310,878, further complicating the company’s efforts to identify the missing funds.
Holmes reported the alleged theft to Victoria Police on October 14.
Detectives from the Yarra Crime Investigation Unit interviewed McKeone on November 6, but no criminal charges have yet been laid as the investigation continues.
In the civil law case, Rocket Brands is demanding full restitution and has accused McKeone of breaching his duties as a senior manager.
The company has described its alleged actions in court documents as calculated and harmful, alleging that the alleged theft has caused significant financial losses.
The court filing states that McKeone’s actions were allegedly a “serious breach of trust” and that the company is “not in a position to accept (his) representation” that he has no money left in his accounts.
Judge Gray extended the freezing order until April next year and the matter is now expected to go to trial.
