Justin Timberlake broke his silence by publicly addressing his DWI arrest that occurred earlier this week in The Hamptons.
The Mirrors hitmaker, 43, who “freaked out and stayed up all night” while in custody, briefly opened up to fans inside United Center Stadium in Chicago on Friday as he resumed his Forget world tour. Tomorrow.
The singer was arrested Tuesday after enjoying a night out with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, but has since claimed he only had one drink during the course of the night.
“It’s been a tough week,” Timberlake told the crowd, according to Page six. “I know it’s hard to love me sometimes, but you keep loving me back.”
Additionally, he sent love to his fans in attendance, stating that they have all faced “ups and downs, lefts and rights.”

The singer was arrested Tuesday after enjoying a night out with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, but has since claimed he only had one drink during the course of the night.
Friday’s concert in Chicago was the artist’s first since the DWI incident in the Hamptons.
He will later return to New York for a two-night stop at Madison Square Garden on June 25 and 26.
Justin will also make stops in additional cities including Boston, Baltimore and Cleveland before beginning international dates in late July. The tour is scheduled to end on December 20 in Kansas City, just before Christmas.
After the arrest, a source recently said People In an article published on Friday the singer was “freaking out” while in custody, as it is also claimed that he is struggling with the end of his “golden boy image”.
