Justin Timberlake was accused of having “no shame” on social media after making jokes on a talk show Monday without mentioning his recent plea deal for drunk driving.

The 43-year-old singer made his first talk show appearance since pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.

Fallon, 49, and Timberlake are longtime friends and their conversation notably made no mention of Timberlake’s recent legal troubles.

Her cheerful interview was noticed on social media with a post on X criticizing the singer.

“Justin Timberlake appearing on Jimmy Fallon without any shame and getting away with a parking ticket is privilege in its finest form. #FallonTonight,” the post read.

Others in the comments section of the talk show’s Instagram post mocked Timberlake for his arrest in the Hamptons earlier this year.

“Make sure he doesn’t drive himself,” one comment read.

Timberlake took to the talk show stage showing off some dance moves and Fallon was quick to congratulate him on his current Forget Tomorrow world tour.

Fallon mentioned the second North American leg of the tour which kicks off on October 4 in Montreal and noted that Timberlake has added 10 shows to the tour.

Timberlake jokingly extended an invitation for Fallon to open his upcoming performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, but Fallon said he was only going to the concert to cheer on his good friend.

“I’m going to go and scream,” Fallon said.

Fallon steered the conversation toward the duet they recorded for their upcoming Christmas album. They gave the audience a brief preview of the song You’ll Be There.

Timberlake and Fallon also played a silly game called Playlist Playoff, in which they competed to pick the best songs for different situations.

Questlove of local band The Roots declared Timberlake the winner.

Timberlake pleaded guilty Friday in Sag Harbor, New York, to driving under the influence, as part of a deal that reduced the misdemeanor charge he faced to a noncriminal traffic violation. The boy band singer turned solo star and actor was also sentenced to a $500 fine with a $260 surcharge, 25 hours of community service at the nonprofit of his choice and a 90-day license suspension.

“I try to hold myself to very high standards, and this was not the case,” Timberlake told reporters and other onlookers after the hearing at nearby Sag Harbor Village Courthouse.

“Even if you’ve had just one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car,” he said. “There are plenty of alternatives. Call a friend. Take an Uber. There are plenty of travel apps. Still, take a taxi. It’s a mistake I made, but I hope that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know I have, for sure.”

Timberlake was arrested on June 18 after police say he ran a stop sign in the town center, swerved out of his lane and got out of his BMW smelling of alcohol.

Police said the Tennessee native told the officer he had a martini and was following friends home. He originally pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor drunken driving.

Timberlake told the court he had had plenty of time to reflect on his actions and was “grateful for the opportunity to move forward” and use his platform to hopefully help others make “better choices.”

“I should have acted more sensibly,” he told the judge. “I understand the seriousness of this matter.”

Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., said outside court after Friday’s hearing that his client had only one drink in two hours at the American Hotel before his arrest.

“Contrary to what was reported, he was not drinking other people’s beverages nor was he warned in advance not to drive,” Burke said, adding that the lesser charge Timberlake pleaded guilty to is “consistent with these facts.”

At one point during the hearing, Timberlake promised Judge Carl Irace that he would never drive again after drinking again. The otherwise serious judge jokingly told him, “But come back to Sag Harbor! It’s a great place.”
