Pub baron Justin Hemmes has left Sydney airport with an unknown brunette after returning to the city on a private jet just in time for Easter.

The billionaire owner of the Merivale Group, who runs more than 70 bars and restaurants, was seen innocent on Tuesday night when he got into a blue Rolls Royce with the woman.

The 48-year-old dressed casually in a shirt and button-up pants as he exited the plane on his return to town.

He all smiled as he talked to the woman as the driver put their bags in the car.

Earlier that day, his girlfriend and model Madeline Holtznagel, 24, looked lost when she was seen walking through Sydney’s Double Bay.

During the walk, she glanced repeatedly at her phone, wearing a pair of black shorts and a PE Nation jersey.

The couple were thought to be heading for Hemmes’ south coast retreat in Berrara.

The publican has significantly increased his holdings in the area and recently bought a waterfront pub, The Quarterdeck in Narooma.

Madeline remained silent about how long she and Justin had been dating, but hinted that they had been seeing each other longer than the reports suggested.

Despite his wealth, Justin has previously said that he ‘doesn’t think you need money to be happy’.

“For me, I think hard work, getting a lot of exercise and keeping the mind active is the most important thing,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

Justin shares two children, Alexa, four, and Saachi, three, with ex Kate Fowler, whom he split in July 2018.

Merivale was found to owe its employees up to $ 129 million in unpaid wages if it does not overturn a federal court decision.

Justice Thomas Thawley ruled that the hospitality giant’s 2009 WorkChoices agreement – which lowered fines and overtime – was invalid, despite passing a so-called “ fairness test. ”

If the collective action is successful, more than 14,000 Merivale employees will receive millions in compensation.

The collective action was taken by Merivale employees ‘at one of their locations in a hospitality position, for the six years prior to December 24, 2019’.

Underpayments cannot be claimed older than six years.

According to the Australian Financial Review, Merivale has said the decision was “ extremely concerning ” because it believed it had passed the so-called fairness test in place at the time.

The court heard that Merivale’s employment contract failed the fairness test twice before being approved by the regulator – but the verdict depended on that final approval.
