Justin Bieber sends support message to Simone Biles after she pulls out of Tokyo Summer Olympics to address her mental health
Justin Bieber sent a message of support to Simone Biles after the gymnast withdrew from the Tokyo Summer Olympics to address her mental health.
“No one will ever understand the pressure you face!” Bieber, 27, captioned the Instagram post Wednesday, featuring an image of the 24-year-old Olympian. “I know we don’t know each other, but I’m so proud of the decision to back off.”
He continued: ‘It’s as simple as – what does it mean to gain the whole world without losing your soul. Sometimes our nos are more powerful than our yeses. When what you normally love starts to steal your joy, it’s important that we take a step back to evaluate why.”

The Canadian pop star referred to his own premature departure from his Purpose World Tour in July 2017, in a decision made with his mental health in mind.
“People thought I was crazy for not finishing the target tour, but it was the best thing I could have done for my sanity!!” the Peaches singer wrote. “So proud of you @simonebiles.”
Following his departure from the tour, Bieber said in an August 2017 Instagram post that he was thinking long-term about his decision to pull out.
“I’ve learned that the more you value your calling, the more you want to protect your calling,” he said. “I’ll take my time now and say I want to be SUSTAINABLE…so I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be, and the father I want to be.”

On Wednesday, USA Gymnastics announced that Biles would leave the competition after one rotation.
The organizers said: “Simone has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical problem. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions.”
Speaking with the Today show, Biles said she felt good and in shape during her exit: “Emotionally, that kind of time and moment varies.
“It’s not easy to come to the Olympics and be the main star, so we’re just trying to take it day by day and we’ll see.”
