Justin Baldoni admitted to having what he described as an “unhealthy” relationship with pornography in an unearthed interview.
The resurfaced comment comes amid Blake Lively’s, 37, damning lawsuit against the 40-year-old actor, with whom she starred in the summer blockbuster It Ends With Us.
“I was introduced to pornography when I was 10 years old,” he said in a July 2021 episode of Sarah Grynberg’s podcast. A life of greatness.
He added that his first encounter with adult content was “long before” he “could get an erection or even knew how I felt about anything.”
“It was, you know, like any kid seeing boobs for the first time: It’s exciting because our culture has protected them from us because they’re sexualized. It’s cultural,” Justin explained at the time.
‘You go to places like Africa and different tribes… and the chest is the chest. We’ve sexualized this, so of course it becomes fascinating and interesting and you’re like, “Oh my God, boobs.” And then, you know, the hormones start going through the roof,” the Jane the Virgin star said.

Baldoni went on to reveal that he “sought refuge” in pornography when he felt alone, abandoned or hurt and because it was a “dopamine rush.”
‘I trained my brain to deal with pain with the dose of dopamine. But that doesn’t mean I’m not using something in an unhealthy way,” the author of Man Enough: Undefining My Masculinity reflected.
He opened: “Throughout my life, I found myself re-watching images and videos of naked women when I necessarily felt bad about myself.
“And I knew it was a problem for me to tell myself I don’t want to do that,” he added.
In the aforementioned lawsuit, Lively alleges that Baldoni showed her explicit videos and photographs of other women, openly discussed his struggles with pornography, and made inappropriate comments about her appearance.
The film adaptation of It Ends With Us tells the story of Lily Bloom (Lively), a woman dealing with the trauma of domestic abuse inflicted by her husband, Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni).
The film is based on the book of the same name by Colleen Hoover, which was inspired by her mother’s experience with domestic violence during her marriage to the author’s father.

Previous reports included accusations that Baldoni showed Lively nude videos and images of other women, discussed his addiction to pornography, and made inappropriate comments about her weight, her late father, and other members of the cast and crew.
Newly revealed details in the lawsuit allege even more egregious behavior, with court documents obtained by People claiming Baldoni “improvised physical intimacy” during a scene without prior discussion or choreography.
One incident reportedly involved Baldoni “discreetly biting and sucking on Ms. Lively’s lower lip” during multiple takes, allegedly insisting on repeatedly reshooting the scene despite Lively’s clear discomfort.
The lawsuit alleges that Baldoni asked sexual questions, including asking Lively if she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, experienced simultaneous climaxes, a question she found intrusive and refused to answer.
