The Danish journalist at the center of Jurgen Klopp’s post-match interview revealed the ‘bored’ Liverpool manager left spectators speechless in shock as he continued to rant after the cameras stopped filming turn.

Back in Denmark, Viaplay commentator Niels Christian Frederiksen told Mail Sport how his “innocent” opening question to Klopp quickly led to a frosty exchange in the moments after Liverpool’s 4-3 defeat in the FA Cup against Manchester United.

“Klopp has become more and more intense,” said Frederiksen, who has covered Premier League football for Viaplay for 10 years now.

“He got more and more angry and then he started: ‘Stupid question, I can’t take it anymore, I don’t want to stay here,’ and he left in the middle of the second answer!

“I was just like ‘what the fuck’. It was a rather innocent question, not entirely stupid.

Jurgen Klopp has slammed the journalist for asking a “stupid” and “really disappointing” question – and the journalist, Niels Christian Frederiksen, has now detailed what happened off-camera.

The German coach took offense at a question asked to him by the journalist after his team's defeat to Man United on Sunday.

“It’s not very smart, but it’s not stupid by any means and it’s certainly not aggressive. This really took me by surprise.

“When he walked around me, I asked him, ‘Why do you feel so provoked?’ Then he yelled at me and pushed my microphone away.

“I kept following him with a microphone and he pushed it away. He was trying to escape the interview.

Klopp, accompanied by Liverpool press secretary Tony Barrett, headed towards the narrow corridor in the bowels of Old Trafford, outside the Man United dressing room.

“He was very annoyed. He pushed my microphone, the cameras stopped and he walked down a short corridor towards the United dressing room,” Frederiksen continued.

“He said something, he didn’t shout but said loudly, like ‘stupid question’, ‘stupid question’, ‘I won’t stand for this’ and so on. He was really, really upset.

Mail Sport has contacted Liverpool for comment following the incident.

Frederiksen expected to speak to Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson and was therefore caught off guard when Klopp appeared.

Extensive footage surfaced yesterday with Klopp telling the reporter “you’re obviously not in great shape” before storming off.

Playing down any suggestion Klopp was referring to his weight, Frederiksen, who stressed to Mail Sport he has no hard feelings against the Liverpool boss, added: “I don’t need to call my doctor or anything !” It happened and let’s do our job and move on from there, don’t worry.
