PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — Authorities in Guipos City, Zamboanga del Sur, are alarmed by the alleged involvement of a 19-year-old high school student in the sale of crystal meth, locally known as shabu.

Police Captain Dominic Dalena of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-IX identified the suspect as John Paul Gonzaga Enderez, alias “John-John”, who is a resident of Sitio Quarry in Kagawasan Village, the neighboring town of Dimataling.

Enderez was arrested following a drug bust Sunday afternoon in Bag-ong Oroquieta village, Guipos town.

Eight medium-sized plastic bags were seized in Enderez, containing a white crystalline substance, believed to be shabu, weighing 40 grams and with an estimated street value of P272,000.

The suspect is being held at the Guipos Police Station while charges for violating the General Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.
