June Brown’s funeral scenes are being attended by THREE her real-life kids. Albert Square stalwart Dot Cotton, who is laid to rest in EastEnders, will be there.
Three of June Brown’s children are expected to appear on EastEnders as Dot Cotton’s funeral.
According to The SunChris Kershaw, show boss, explained how June’s children Sophie and Nim asked to be in the emotional scene.
The special episode will air Monday, December 12th at 3:37 p.m.

June Arnold, who was 95 years old, died in April. She was also the mother to Louise Arnold and Chloe Arnold. Richard Arnold died in 2003.
Dot left a voicemail stating that she was going to Ireland to see her grandson Charlie in her last scenes on the BBC series.
Chris, EastEnders executive producer, said to the publication, that June didn’t want Dot to die while she was alive.
He said: ‘She Of course, she knew it was right when she left us.

‘After It was something we could not put off for too long. We spoke with June’s family, who confirmed that this was what she would have preferred.

Milly Zero, Dot’s granddaughter, told the publication that Milly cried during filming scenes and that they gathered together to make the extraordinary funeral episode.
Funeral: The special episode, which is extended to 37 minutes and reportedly features a slightly altered theme tune, airs on Monday December 12

‘June was always a little mischievous on set, and would often alter the words of the script, but that was just her.
‘She Would have loved to see us all together for the episode. It’s a dream role and I am so proud to be her granddaughter. We will always remember her.
EastEnders confirmed the full line-up of former stars returning to Walford for the funeral last month.

Six actors were revealed by BBC soap to reprise their roles in the special tribute episode. This episode will see Albert Square residents say goodbye to their beloved launderette worker.
Jacqueline Jossa (who played Dot’s granddaughter Lauren Branning) is among those who will be returning. Tom Watt, who played George ‘Lofty” Holloway, is also back.
Returned actors include Colin Russell (Lord Michael Cashman, CBE), Barry Clark(Gary Hailes), Mary ‘the punk” Smith (Linda Davidson), and Disa O’Brien (Jan Graveson).
Back again: Among those returning for the episdoe is Jacqueline Jossa, who played Dot’s grand-daughter Lauren Branning and said it was a ‘no-brainer’ to return
