Julie Bishop gets her very own Barbie doll complete with her signature haircut

Julie Bishop was all smiles on Monday when she was presented with her very own Barbie doll shaped in her likeness while appearing on Triple M Perth.

The former Secretary of State, 67, was chatting to hosts Andrew ‘Embers’ Embley and Katie Lamb as they surprised her with the gift.

In pictures shared on Instagram, Ms Bishop posed up a storm with the doll sporting her trademark polished and glossy fringed bob.

Mrs Bishop smiled as she proudly displayed the mini-me doll to the camera, which is the spitting image of her for its impeccable style and fashion.

A grateful Mrs Bishop told the hosts she absolutely loved her unique gift.

‘Even better than Margot Robbie! J-Bish, Barbie heaven,’ Ms Bishop wrote alongside the photos.

Last month, Ms Bishop was forced to defend her daring new look after debuting a choppy, rock star-inspired hairstyle on Instagram.

Ms Bishop uploaded a photo of herself eating at the Chiswick restaurant in Sydney’s Woollahra with two female friends.

Looking worlds away from her usual stylish bob, Ms Bishop’s new platinum locks completely cover her forehead after being cut into a voluminous Eighties-style fringe.

She later defiantly showed off her new ‘do during a glamorous appearance on the Today show.

The Adelaide-born politician spoke to hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo on the latest news, dazzling in an animal print shirtdress that perfectly matched her wild new hairdo.

Affectionately known as the ‘Minister of Fashion’, the blonde also dished out some fashion advice and advised viewers on the benefits of investing in quality wardrobe staples.

“This season we’re all about focusing on inner investment pieces,” said Ms Bishop, who is an ambassador for retail giant David Jones.
