Police descended on the couple’s 86th Street apartment at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Both relatives of the actress, best known for starring in Uncut Gems, were detained after being arrested at her 84th Street home.
His arrest reportedly came as part of a larger NYPD investigation into the proliferation of ghost weapons in the Big Apple.
The raid, which took place at 6 a.m., was carried out by a leading field intelligence team on the case.
In an interview with high snobbery in 2019, Julia said that she doesn’t usually see her father or her brother.
She described her brother as a “mad scientist”, who “builds 3D printers for fun”.
An NYPD spokesperson said: “The NYPD Ghost Weapons Team seized several pieces of ghost weapons, as well as narcotic pill pressing equipment.”
“Team members also discovered materials that are typically used as components in explosives, including pressure cookers, and various chemicals, which can also be used to make narcotics.”
While a number of troubling items, including bomb-making materials, were discovered in the apartment, authorities say they do not believe there is a threat to the public.
“At this time, the matter is believed to be contained, with no apparent link to terrorism,” the spokesman added.
“The NYPD will continue to relentlessly fight illegal weapons, both against the continued proliferation of traditionally manufactured firearms and the growing number of untraceable but fully functional illegal weapons known as ghost weapons.” .
Charges against Christopher and Thomas Fox, Julia’s father and brother, pictured, are still pending and they remain in custody.
Neither Christopher nor Thomas Fox have a criminal record.
However, a police source added to The Post that the duo had an “excessive amount of stuff” in their possession.
The couple was put on law enforcement’s radar after they were tipped off when suspicious online purchases were sent to their Manhattan apartment.
The actress is not believed to have any knowledge of her relative’s alleged crimes and was reportedly not in New York at the time of the raid.
