John Belushi’s widow has died at the age of 73.
The death of actress and producer Judy Belushi-Pisano was announced on Facebook on Saturday.
The publication did not specify the cause of the former SNL writer’s death or provide further details.
Belushi-Pisano was married to the legendary Blues Brothers actor for six years, until his death in 1982.
“Today, our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our sweet Judy,” reads a post on her ex-husband’s fan page.

Belushi-Pisano was a producer best known for her work on The Blues Brothers and National Lampoon’s Animal House.

The couple attended the same high school in Wheaton, Illinois.
She was born in Wheaton, Illinois and met her husband while they were both attending the local high school.
The couple married in 1976 and briefly teamed up while Belushi was a regular on SNL after his wife joined as a writer in 1981.
They were together until Belushi’s death from a lethal overdose of cocaine and heroin.
In 1990, Belushi-Pisano remarried producer Victor Pisano and the couple had children and later grandchildren together.
Her latest project was as executive producer of the Blues Brothers remake that is in the works.
