It’ll all be about son Lucho — at least for the next few days -For Judy Ann Santos, who recently flew with the 12-year-old to a soccer competition in Malaysia.
It was the mother-son duo’s first overseas trip without “EAT” mainstay Ryan Agoncillo and the couple’s daughters, college student Yohan and youngest Luna.
“First time leaving Manila without dad and the girls…this time it’s just mom and kuya (Lucho) and I ate Arlen…missing a big part of our family here in KL.. . mom and kuya time muna (for now), while dad spends time with the girls. I miss you so much, my little one. (emojis) @ryan_agoncillo,” shared the award-winning actress, who uploaded several photos with Lucho, including a selfie during their plane ride on his Instagram.
Lucho, along with other players from Arayat Football Club, will participate in the LaLiga youth tournament, which begins on Friday, September 15 and ends on September 17. The competition is expected to showcase the skills of players from different age groups, from under-8s to under-16s.
Philippine teams – which also includes players from the Prodigy Training Center – will have opposition from countries including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Brunei, among others.
In the comments section of the 45-year-old actress’ post, her other half wrote, “I miss you so much babies (emoji),” while others expressed their support for the upcoming Lucho tournament.
Santos’ longtime friend and “Magkapatid” co-star Sharon Cuneta shared that her son Miguel informed her about the young athlete’s overseas competition.
“Awww soccah!!! Gugie told me! Woohooooo Luch! Mom Sharon is so proud of you! I love you both very much! (emojis),” she said.

Already in Malaysia, the TV host-entrepreneur shared a video of the players on her Instagram Stories.

Meanwhile, a recent Instagram story from the Arayat Football Club showed another famous mom, actress and founder of the Philippine Pole and Aerial Sports Association (PPASA), Ciara Sotto. She accompanied Crixus, 8 years old, who is her son from her previous relationship with Jojo Oconer.

Santos, whose most recent series is the Kapamilya drama “Starla,” is set to appear in a series directed by Erik Matti alongside Edu Manzano, Gina Alajar and RK Bagatsing. Filming for the upcoming project, which will tackle the entertainment industry, wrapped last month. EDV
