Judge Jonathan Durham-Hall QC, 67, a twice-married father of two, is said to have exchanged dozens of X-rated messages with the woman after meeting her at the Bradford Crown Court.

The resident judge, who draws £ 151,497 a year, agreed to resign while the Independent Judicial Behavior Investigation Office (JCIO) reports, reports The sun.

She reportedly moved to his home in Keighley, West Yorkshire, escalating their relationship.

Judge Durham-Hall was found guilty of misconduct in April 2017 after he offered to pay the court a fine for a teenager who stabbed her pedophile abuser.

A spokesperson for the JCIO said at the time: “Judge Durham-Hall stated that he would pay a supplement to the victim if the accused had to pay.

“The Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice felt that this could not demonstrate impartiality and that this comment amounted to misconduct.”

They gave him ‘formal advice’, the lowest possible sanction. The 15-year-old was sentenced to a two-year rehabilitation order after admitting he had attacked the man.

Allegedly he met the woman at the Bradford Crown court, where he works as a resident judge

The judge last nine years supervised the prison sentence of X-factor Danny Tetley after he was found guilty of sexually exploiting teenage boys.

A judge’s spokesperson told The Sun that he had “no professional working relationship” with the women.

“The independent judicial agency investigates behavioral problems in private life,” he said.

“It would not be appropriate for us or the judge to harm that investigation. The judge has agreed not to sit down pending the outcome of the JCIO investigation. ”
