Jude Law has revealed he is “over” the time in his life when he was engaged to Sienna Miller, as he posed for a stylish new shoot with VARIETY.
The actor, 51, told the publication that “that time in his life has passed” after their relationship was the center of much public attention.
Jude and Sienna split in 2006 after his affair with his children’s nanny, Daisy Wright, became public in 2005, and the actress said in 2020 that she found the scandal “really difficult.”
Speaking about the time he and Sienna were engaged, Jude said: “That time has passed and I’m over it. And also, fortunately, the attention of photographers and prying eyes on me.
But I’ve had to learn to live in a way that keeps them at bay. And I have to handle the privacy of my children and my partner in the same way.”

Sienna and Jude met on the set of their film Alfie, and the couple became engaged on Christmas Day 2004 after almost a year of dating.
She broke off the engagement following news of their affair, and the couple separated in November 2006 after failing to save their relationship.
They reconnected in late 2009 when they both performed on Broadway, and Sienna even spent Christmas with Jude and three of their children in Barbados, but split up once again in February 2011.
Before meeting Sienna, Jude was married to Sadie Frost – with whom he shares three of his children: Rafferty, 24, Iris, 20, and Rudy, 18 – but they divorced in 2003, after six years of marriage.
Jude is now married to psychologist Phillipa Coan, 32, who he was first seen with at the Hay literary festival in 2015.
The couple married at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall in 2019, before partying in Mayfair, three months after the actor announced their engagement. They have two children together.
The actor also has a daughter, Sophia, 15, with model Samantha Burke and Ada, nine, with musician Catherine Harding.
Jude also opened up about her role in the upcoming movie Eden and shared that she filmed a full-frontal nude scene for the first time.

Jude also talked about his role in the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, where he plays an adult who presides over four children as they embark on their own intergalactic journey.
The film centers on a group of Galapagos settlers who desire extreme privacy and so spend much of their time together naked.

The star, who only agreed to take on the role after several lengthy meetings with creator John Watts, said he found it “really interesting” to see the technical vision of how a vast Star Wars project was made.
He said: ‘It was a really interesting process. It’s technically difficult to do those things well: you’re dealing with animatronics, puppets, machines, and huge, complicated worlds.
‘I’m the guy who wants to see how the wizard does it… Everything has to go through the ‘Star Wars’ filter. For example, in ‘Star Wars’ there are no buttons, only ties. Buckles? Yes. Velcro? Yes. Although I don’t think you ever see the velcro… There are certain shots that you’re not allowed to do if you’re the director.
‘You can’t go through the glass of the spaceship; You have to stay outside or inside. I love that. You see the shot and you’re like, “Oh, I’m in “Star Wars.”

Jude’s performance as the agent who takes on real-life white supremacist group The Order received a seven-minute standing ovation at the Festival.
He said of his character: ‘There was a kind of lived-in quality to him that I enjoyed.
“There was a lot of discussion about facial hair, but all the agents I interviewed had a mustache, so it was a given that I had to grow one.”
Also starring are Alison Oliver, Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett and Nicholas Hoult.
Nicholas plays The Order’s leader Bob Mathews, an American neo-Nazi who led the white supremacist group in 1983.
Nicholas revealed that the film’s director, Justin Kurzel, gave each actor a ‘manifesto’ for their character, including tasks for them to complete.
‘I just found out here on the ship: one of Jude’s tasks was to follow me for a day!’ said.
“He was following me for a day when I landed in Calgary.”
At The Order’s Venice Film Festival press conference, Jude spoke about the film’s importance at a time when far-right ideologies are on the rise again.
“Unfortunately, the relevance speaks for itself,” he said. “It seemed like a job that needed to be done now. It is always interesting to find a piece from the past that has some relevant relationship to the present.”
Director Justin agreed with Law, adding that the film’s parallels to today’s world were what made it so interesting to make.
It is always extraordinary to find a writing or an event from the past that has some kind of perspective that can have a conversation with current politics. That is a rare gem. So, we felt like there was a lot of talk about today.
