Jude Bellingham has revealed that a conversation with Jadon Sancho helped him move to Borussia Dortmund via Manchester United, as the youngster revealed his ‘annoyance’ with the transfer saga.
The 17-year-old was at the center of a transfer battle between the Old Trafford club and their Bundesliga counterparts, each with a keen interest in closing a deal with Birmingham City for the hotshot.
United had rolled out the red carpet for Bellingham earlier this year and invited midfield to the club for a tour of the training ground, with legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson rushing in to charm the teen.

But Bellingham snubbed United and chose to pack his bags and move to Germany, with Dortmund securing a £ 25 million midfielder deal.
The Englishman follows a long line of talented youngsters who have moved to BVB, with the club having a strong track record in developing Sancho, Erling Haaland and Christian Pulisic, among others.
And Bellingham has revealed that he spoke to Sancho, another United target, about Dortmund, and was convinced to move to the Bundesliga club as a result.

The youngster would like to replicate Sancho’s development with the German club
“The record Dortmund has set with young players in recent years is unparalleled in European football,” he said
“Weighing all that up and the people we met there, the stadium and the fan base, made me fall in love with that club too. I met Sancho and we spoke. He is a good example of what you can achieve if you do the right things. ‘
Bellingham has also revealed his “annoyance” at the speculation surrounding his future.
Bellingham’s punch comes as a blow to Man United, who wanted to sign him this summer
“I chose Dortmund because it is the perfect step for my development. I’m just glad the saga is over. It was very annoying to me and there was a lot of noise during that time when I only wanted to play for Birmingham.
“Now I don’t have a chance to do that anymore, but I’d like to think I made the most of it. It is sad to leave Birmingham like this, but I am very optimistic about the future. ‘
Whether Bellingham will hit the field with Sancho next season remains to be seen, with the English attacker keen to leave the club this summer amid rumors of a £ 109 million move to Manchester United.
