Antonio Conte has admitted that Inter Milan can finally conquer Serie A this season, but he was quick to warn his players that the captivating title race is far from over.
Romelu Lukaku scored late to send the table top players to another crucial three runs, this time against Bologna, as Inter’s winning streak reached nine games.
The only other Inter coach to equal that formidable record was Roberto Mancini in 2007, during a campaign in which Inter also won the trophy.

It turned out to be a great weekend for the team on pole position after city rivals AC Milan and Juventus both had to settle for one point each.
The result meant that Inter scored eight points on the top and also played their match in hand against Sassuolo on Wednesday.
And when asked about his party’s chances of remaining in first place after the win against Bologna, Conte couldn’t hide his grin.

“I think we’ve created something great between the players and the staff,” Conte said after the game.
‘They all know that I am consistent, that I don’t treat people differently because of their name. I make choices for the well-being of Inter.
That respect has now developed between all of us, there is a symbiosis, but we have to keep it going to the end.
“It would be great to end a season that is not easy for anyone by crowning it with a trophy.
Lukaku’s last effort also earned Inter their ninth straight win in the league
“Last season we were close to the Europa League final, but this time … we could get there.”
Conte was seen on the sidelines hugging director Lele Oriali after the final whistle – and there were raucous festivities in the dressing room too.
But the Inter boss was keen to emphasize that despite the jubilant nature, the party mood wasn’t because his stars think they’ve already clamped down on the silverware.
“No, it can’t be a Scudetto party because we have to earn that on the field and it has to be mathematically certain,” he added.
Conte celebrated full-time, but warned his players that they ‘haven’t achieved anything yet’
‘There are 10 games to go for us, nine for others, and 27-30 points up for grabs.
‘We know very well that Serie A is very difficult and every game is a battle for victory.
The closer we get to the finish, the more clearly we can see the prize at the end.
‘Everyone is looking in that direction and we now see it from a different angle than the others, but we still have it all to do. We haven’t achieved anything yet. ‘
