Joy Behar has never been one to mince her words on The View.
So it’s no surprise that she’s just as frank in her personal life, even when it comes to having guests over.
During an episode of behind the table On the podcast, the 81-year-old recalled her early days before fame, when she had friends and guests come and stay at her house.
“I used to have a 24-hour rule that I would tell people,” he said.
“Before I could afford a housekeeper, but I had this little house somewhere, I said bring your own sheets and towels and take them home because I’m not going to wash your clothes.”
Joy Behar revealed her extremely strict rules for house guests during an episode of the Behind The Table podcast.
He also highlighted the importance of knowing when guests arrive and leave.
“I’m strict about it and I have no problem saying, ‘So you’re coming on Friday and leaving on Sunday, right?'” the talk show host said.
‘Besides, I don’t really feel like cooking for a group of people. I don’t run Airbnb, okay?
It’s unclear if Behar still plays by the same rules or if she’s relaxed since making a huge fortune from her work on The View.
According to OK magazine, the comedian earns “around $7 million a year” for her role on the hit daytime show.
Behar said previously Entertainment tonight that the only thing keeping her on The View after all these years was “money.”
He purchased a two-bedroom, three-bathroom Upper West Side residence located near ABC Studios in 2017 for $2.4 million.
“I’m strict about it and I have no problem saying, ‘So you’re coming on Friday and leaving on Sunday, right?'” the talk show host said.

However, his primary residence when he is not working is a stunning four-bedroom property in Sag Harbor valued at over $7 million.
She owns a second home in the Hamptons, but records show she transferred it to her daughter Eve in 2021.
While Behar certainly boasts an enviable net worth, it’s nothing compared to that of her co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
The Sister Act star’s net worth is estimated to be around $60 million, with a large portion coming from her $8 million salary on The View.
She is also one of 19 artists to win the coveted EGOT: an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony.
