- The winger has been linked with a departure from Canterbury
- The 29-year-old tested positive for cocaine during a roadside check.
Football star Josh Addo-Carr took to Instagram on Wednesday to repost an inspirational quote from the film Night At The Museum.
The NRL star has been heavily linked with a move away from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in recent months.
It comes after the 29-year-old tested positive for cocaine during a random roadside drug test in September.
The test came a week before Canterbury’s final loss to Manly on September 15.
The winger has maintained his innocence at all times, vehemently denying having consumed the illegal substance, but ruled himself out of the game.
He had accepted a police fine and a driving suspension following the incident.
The NRL has confirmed the winger received a breach notice almost a month ago.
“The National Rugby League (NRL) today issued Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs player Josh Addo-Carr with a breach notice alleging a breach of the NRL Code of Conduct,” the NRL said.
‘Addo-Carr received a penalty notice from NSW Police earlier this month for the offense of “Presence of an illicit prescribed drug in the oral fluid, blood or urine of a person” while driving a vehicle engine.
“The breach notice alleges that Addo-Carr has engaged in conduct which is against the law and has brought the game and his club into disrepute.”
Josh Addo-Carr has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bulldogs this summer.
The Canterbury star had been offered a four-match suspension and a $15,000 fine as part of that breach notice, according to The daily telegraph.
The outlet also claimed in September that the rugby league star may “not be in a position to offer Addo-Carr a new deal” with the Sydney Morning Herald now claims the Dragons have shown interest in holding talks with Addo-Carr.
And in a revealing Instagram post, Addo-Carr may have dropped a major hint that he could be about to move to another NRL club.
On Wednesday, he shared a video on his story from Instagram user @rotquotes, portraying a scene between Ben Stiller and Night At The Museum’s Robin Williams.
Williams tells Stiller, “It’s time for your next adventure!”
To which Stiller, who plays night shift security guard Larry Daley in the film, responds, “I have no idea what I’m going to do tomorrow.”
Williams responds: ‘How exciting!’
It is also understood that Addo-Carr has been spending some time with his family in recent weeks and Michael Carayannis explained to SEN Radio last week that his partner, Lakaree Smith, is close to giving birth, so he has “left things in the background. a bit.’
Addo-Carr posted an interesting video to his Instagram Story on Wednesday that could provide a hint about his future with the Bulldogs.
It comes as general manager Phil Gould urged Addo-Carr to decide where his future might lie.
“I talked to his manager the other day, and all I asked the manager and Josh to do is consider their own future, what they think is best, (and) for him to sit quietly with his family and have a “Think.” what happened,” Gould said.
‘I like Josh. It has been very good for our club, it has certainly been an advantage for us. It is unfortunate that he continues to disappoint himself in this regard at different times.
“I want you to consider what’s best for your future and then come back and talk to me.”
