Jose Mourinho has offered a new angle on Anthony Joshua’s devastating blow that knocked out Francis Ngannou during their fight in Saudi Arabia on Friday night, having captured the moment on his phone camera from his seat.
The former Roma manager was sitting front row for the seismic heavyweight showdown and was seen taking pictures with Eddie Hearn and Ronaldo Nazario.
Mourinho had some of the best seats in the house for the fight at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena and managed to catch Joshua by landing the huge blow that floored Ngannou.
The legendary football coach posted the clip on his Instagram, captioning the post ‘wowwwwwww’.
The British fighter, who subsequently declared he should be the WBC heavyweight champion, after beating Ngannou, can be seen walking to the ropes in Mourinho’s video after claiming victory.

He casts a stern look at the crowd, knowing that he may have just declared victory.
Mourinho posted another photo of himself posing for a photo alongside Saudi General Authority for Entertainment president Turki Alalshikh and Tyson Fury, and captioned the post: ‘Bigger than I thought…huge!!! !! @TysonFury Thank you very much for the invitation @Turkialashik.’
The Portuguese football manager was the first person to congratulate Joshua on his victory against Ngannou on Friday night and was seen shaking the Brit’s hand before sharing a few words with him while he was ringside.
Questions have been raised over when and where the 61-year-old will return to football management, having been sacked by Roma earlier this season following his poor disciplinary record at the club.
Speculation has increased over whether he could return to his former club Chelsea after winning three Premier League titles during his two spells at Stamford Bridge.
The former Roma coach was also sitting in the front row next to the president of the Saudi General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Alalshikh.
Joshua produced a brutal right hook to knock out Ngannou and claim victory in the second round.
Rumors surrounding his return have intensified of late amid the Blues’ poor form under Mauricio Pochettino.
Meanwhile, Mourinho has also said he “could definitely work in Saudi Arabia.”
In October, Mourinho said: “I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced that I will work there.” I don’t know when, but I’m pretty sure of it.
A move to the Gulf state could see the former Man United boss follow compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese superstar sitting alongside Conor McGregor in Joshua’s last fight against Otto Wallin.
