Jose Mourinho has declined to comment on speculation that Roma might be interested in signing Diogo Dalot from Manchester United during the January transfer window.
The Portuguese coach joined Roma in the summer and has started well in Serie A, with three wins from four games.
Ahead of Roma’s match with Udinese on Thursday, Mourinho was asked if he would provide any insight into the club’s future transfer plans.
Jose Mourinho reportedly interested in re-signing Portuguese fullback Diogo Dalot
Dalot largely out of favor with Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
The question was asked after reports of Transfermarkt that the Giallorossi would like to attract a central midfielder and a fullback.
Mourinho is reportedly interested in signing Dalot from his former club, but the Roma boss was unwilling to answer questions about transfers.
He said: ‘The transfer window is closed, you want to allow me to talk, but I’m not going to do it.
“I analyze situations, but I can’t share all my thoughts with you. I am not entering this dynamic.’
The Roma boss signed Dalot in his latest transfer window with Manchester United, but the defender was unable to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.
Dalot was loaned to AC Milan last season, but Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to keep him at the club this season.
Mourinho’s Roma recently dropped their first points of the season after a 3-2 defeat to Verona
However, the Portuguese fullback is still behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka and has only appeared off the bench once in the Premier League.
Dalot will want to impress as he will have more opportunities in the team as United enter more cup competitions and Wan-Bissaka’s suspension from the Champions League.
If the defender is unable to take advantage of his opportunities at United, he will no doubt be linked with a departure from the club in January.
