Jorge Masvidal is on his way to Fight Island after boarding the plane to the long-awaited UFC 251 in Abu Dhabi.

The welterweight was confused as a late substitute for the main event against Kamaru Usman after Gilbert Burns tested positive for the corona virus, when he saved Dana White’s show after quickly approving a bursary.

Masvidal was originally set to face Usman, but negotiations stalled due to disagreement over the pay – claiming that the money initially offered to him was only half of what he earned to fight Nate Diaz.

“Everything is just negativity and downplaying people.

“A wise man said this quote to me, and he broke it down in a much better way than I can break it down, but listen: [Some people say] “I’m going to dim your light to make mine brighter.” No, I’m going to make my light as bright as possible.

‘[Usman has] I constantly threw disses at me for a while. I just don’t believe anything he says. I know the coward he is. ‘
