John Ramsey shares never before seen pictures of his daughter JonBenet in the new A&E special Hunting JonBenet's Killer: The Untold Story will be broadcast on Thursday night.
One of the images is JonBenet who smiles while she looks at the camera that was taken at her home in Colorado on Christmas Eve 1996.
That is the last known photo of JonBenet, who was murdered in her own home just a few hours later while her parents and brother slept in their rooms just a few feet away from the 6-year-old beauty queen.
John Ramsey opens around the night his daughter was murdered and many more are in his first in almost five years, while footage of age changes allows viewers to see what JonBenet would look like today.
She would be 28, but her father says she can't imagine JonBenet getting old.
& # 39; In my mind, she is still my 6-year-old girl, so I remember her & # 39 ;, John says.

As they were: & # 39; My children are healthy and grandchildren are healthy, so you have to look at what is good in your life and be thankful for it & # 39 ;, John says about his life (John and Patsy with JonBenet and Burke in 1993)
John, who lost his eldest daughter to a car accident just four years before JonBenet's death, reveals that despite those tragedies, he is still blessed.
& # 39; It's going well & # 39 ;, he answers when asked how his life is going these days.
& # 39; My children are healthy and grandchildren are healthy, so you need to look at what is good in your life and be thankful for it. & # 39;
He admits, however, that he occasionally wonders what it would be like if JonBenet was not taken from him so young.
John also talks about the time when he and his wife Patsy were acquitted by investigators twelve years after JonBenet's death and two years after Patsy died of cancer.
& # 39; I think Patsy knew that from whatever point of view she was in heaven & # 39 ;, John tells his wife who wasn't there for the news.
& # 39; And my brain was, okay, let's move on to finding the killer. & # 39;
John also says about the special that he never thought his son Burke was responsible for his sister's death.
Burke challenged CBS after the network had broadcast The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey, which ended with investigators who revealed that after extensive investigation into the events that took place on the night of the murder, they believed Burke Ramsey was responsible for killing his sister .
He recently settled that case after demanding $ 750 million in damages from the network.

The body of JonBenet was found and strangled in her basement for hours after she was murdered on Christmas morning.
She was covered with a white blanket with a nylon cord around her neck, her wrists tied above her head and her mouth covered with duct tape.
John and Patsy had called the police to report her abduction and said they had found a note demanding $ 118,000 ransom for her safe return – and that they had not contacted the authorities.
Nevertheless, the police arrived shortly afterwards in clearly marked vehicles at their home.
John and Patsy would remain the main suspects in the death of their daughter for more than a decade, and it was not until 2008 that the police finally released them from any offense.
Patsy was suspected of being a murderer by members of the public after reports revealed that the handwriting on the ransom was equal to hers, but after she voluntarily provided a sample to the police, it was found that she was not had written.
Many also suspected someone in the family because they claimed there were no footprints in the snow around the house.
John – who was briefly connected to Natalee Holloway & # 39; s mother Beth in 2007 and remarried to Jan Rousseaux in 2011 – discussed how he lost his millions after the death of JonBenet when he decided to take the Boulder family back move to Atlanta, unaware of the stigma that the public would impose on him and how difficult it would be for him to find a job.
