This comes after Jonathan recently revealed that he and his wife Jane bathe less than once a week, because he feels all grooming is a waste of valuable time.
Jonathan said he and his wife were like a couple of dirty “hamsters” and he “resents” having to wash regularly.
He said, ‘Do you think I care enough to bother spending more time getting ready? The fact that I have to shower bothers me.’
‘Sometimes I go at least a week without showering… at least. Jane does it sometimes too. We’re like a couple of hamsters in their own straw in that bed.
Talking about the Parenting Hell PodcastHe said he had not showered the morning of the interview after comedian Josh Widdicombe asked him when he had last showered.
Jonathan, saying he hadn’t done anything to break a sweat, said: ‘It was yesterday. Why bother doing it two days in a row? What’s the matter? I didn’t do any exercise.’
He even confessed that he once went two weeks without washing in the Florida heat because he thought he had been in a pool, but then discovered he still smelled bad.

Jane met her future husband when she was just 16 at an event when she was a budding showbiz journalist and they married two years later in 1988.
He added: “When we were on vacation, we have a house in Florida, because it was sunny and I was jumping in and out of the pool, I probably didn’t shower properly for two weeks.”

In addition to being Jonathan’s wife of 35 years, Jane is a woman of many talents, working as a screenwriter, author and producer.
She has co-written scripts for Kingsman: The Secret Service and X Men: First Class, and scored her first solo script with the 2012 film, The Woman In Black.
Jane met her future husband when she was just 16 at an event when she was a budding showbiz journalist and they married two years later in 1988.
Jonathan, who is almost ten years older than her, was at the beginning of his career as a talk show host when he struck up a conversation with the young journalist.

“I think I invited him to something else, hoping to see him again. Maybe I was less socially awkward then.
Despite not remembering their initial conversation, Jane recalled that the pair connected over their love of American pop culture, science fiction, and horror films.
For Jonathan, there is only one female protagonist in his life and that will never change.
He previously said: ‘Jane is my ideal, whatever it is. We have grown up together and I become more passionate about her as the years go by. For me, she has only been Jane and only will be.
