Older Australians defend Jonah Hill, claiming the actor was simply “setting limits” after his ex-girlfriend criticized him for his “controlling” text messages.
Sarah Brady shared private messages allegedly sent by the 39-year-old Superbad star on Instagram revealing past discussions between the couple in 2021.
The surf instructor called Hill “misogynistic” and “narcissistic” in her multi-layered tirade on social media on June 7 after sharing alleged text messages sent by the actor outlining his parameters for a “romantic partnership.” .
In a lengthy text message apparently from Hill, he lists his then-girlfriend’s unacceptable behaviors, including ‘surfing with men’, ‘inappropriate friendships with men’ and ‘posting pictures of you in a bathing suit’.

Brady received overwhelming support from young women on social media, however older Australian women defended Hill, claiming there was nothing wrong with the Hollywood actor’s text messages as he was simply outlining his boundaries.

‘The only abuse I see here is this ‘girl’ who posts a private message and makes it public! That is abuse of YOUR privacy,” another woman commented.

A fourth woman added: ‘I wouldn’t want my partner to say this to me, is it abusive? I don’t feel like it is. Pretty close to the time he and his new fiancée had a baby in June, so maybe spur the grapes? It seems an exaggeration to me.
An elderly Australian woman claimed that Hill was drawing boundaries and that Brady sharing the private messages was an abuse of her privacy.
Others claimed that sharing the alleged text messages written by Hill was timed after he welcomed a baby with his new girlfriend.
The release of damning statements against the movie producer comes less than a month after news broke that Hill welcomed a baby boy with girlfriend Olivia Millar.
Brady began a series of Instagram Stories with screenshots of alleged Hill texts captioned ‘F**k it’.
Hill’s seemingly lengthy initial text included a list of unacceptable behavior from Sarah if they were to be together romantically.
The new father allegedly stated that if Sarah ‘needed’ to ‘model’, ‘post sexual photos’ or maintain friendships with women who were part of her ‘wild recent past’, then he was ‘not the right match’ for her.
In another post of their alleged messages, Brady claimed that Hill only wanted her to socialize with friends whom he had “personally approved of.”
The animator, whose documentary Stutz premiered on Netflix last year, added: “If these things lead you to a place of happiness, I support it and there will be no hard feelings.” These are my limits for a romantic relationship.
She then clarified: “My boundaries with you are based on the ways in which these actions have damaged our trust.”

Brady wrote to her nearly 80,000 followers that the posts are a “warning to all girls” and urged any woman to call her if they are going through a similar situation.
“If your partner is talking to you like that, make an exit plan,” she captioned a screenshot that appeared to show Hill complaining about social media photos showing her “thong butt.”

The messages continued with Brady noting that he had removed some of the allegedly offensive photos.
However, the Wolf of Wall Street star appeared to tell her that it was a “good start” but that she “seemed not to get” his point.

Brady maintained that her ex-boyfriend’s criticisms were made in an attempt to control her.
She explained that she agreed to his requests in an attempt to prevent him from experiencing “crippling anxiety.”
Brady explained that she was sharing the emotional abuse she suffered while dating Hill because keeping it to herself was causing damage to her mental health.
“It’s been a year of healing and growing with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life without guilt, shame and self-criticism over things as small as surfing in a bathing suit instead of a more conservative wetsuit,” brady. wrote.
“And I’m sure I still have a lot to heal from this abuse.”
The former duo went public with their romance in August 2021 after Hill approached her online and the pair developed a relationship.
He also explained that he used to take the “blame” for Hill’s actions when they talked to his therapist.
In part of her tirade against her ex, the athlete noted: “I hope my ex has a daughter, maybe she will make him a real feminist.”
