The actor, 40, opted for a casual yellow zip-up jacket and matching beanie as he spoke to the crew while on the film’s set in Los Angeles.

The film was first announced in April 2023, when Apple Original Films picked up the project in a competitive bidding war.

Hill will not only direct but will also star and produce, while co-writing the script with Ezra Woods.

The story follows a Hollywood star named Reef (Reeves) who must atone for his troubled past when he is blackmailed with damaging videos from his past.

Reeves and Hill star alongside a cast that also includes Matt Bomer, Kaia Gerber, Cameron Diaz, David Spade, Laverne Cox, Susan Lucci and Roy Wood Jr.

Filming began in late March, just after Reeves wrapped the comedy Good Fortune, which Aziz Ansari writes, directs and stars in.

Hill is producing alongside Matt Dines and Alison Goodwin on his second narrative feature, following his 2018 debut, Mid90s.

Reeves is coming off 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4, which grossed more than $440 million at the global box office.

He will also return as John Wick in a small role in the franchise spin-off Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, which has a release date of June 6, 2025.

Last year, Hill, who suffers from anxiety attacks, discussed his fluctuating weight with his therapist Phil Stutz for his second directorial effort, the Netflix documentary Stutz.

“When I was a kid, exercise and diet were approached to me like, ‘There’s something wrong with the way you look,'” the Winning Time director recalled.

‘But exercise and diet were never suggested to me in terms of mental health. “I just wish that was presented to people differently.”

Jonah admitted that growing up overweight “fucked me up hard” and inside he still feels like “a 14-year-old kid who is very overweight and has acne and feels very undesirable to the world.”

“Inherently, deep down, I’m still a person who doesn’t deserve to be loved,” Hill explained.

‘But the work is inching towards (realizing) that it’s cool to be this person. But that’s still very difficult.”
