Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Mady Gosselin has spoken out against her younger brother Collin, accusing him of “physical violence” in a shocking statement online after he came out to accuse their mother Kate of “abuse” while exposing the rift between him and his siblings.
In her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Mady, 22, revealed that she has received a lot of ‘hate messages’ in the wake of her brother’s appearance in VICE TV’s new docuseries The Dark Side of the 2000s, which was revealed exclusively by DailyMail.com.
Mady began by writing: “I never wanted to have to talk about this to allow my brother the chance to live in privacy after the conclusion of our family’s TV show, but I have been overwhelmed by hate messages in the last few days and feel I need to set the record straight.”
“I owe no allegiance to any person who has physically threatened me and all members of my immediate family (some incidents as recent as last year).”
She continued: ‘Furthermore, I will never allow someone who has exhibited hateful and even violent behavior towards others based on their racial identity, gender identity or religious beliefs to be in my life.

Kindness, tolerance, love and acceptance are core values in my life and I refuse to compromise them for ANYONE, even my brother Collin who has sadly made his views very clear in private.
“For me, there is no more conversation about rebuilding relationships with someone in my life after getting to the point of physical violence and hate speech.
“I can’t speak more about why Collin has done these things, just that I have witnessed them,” he said.
Hundreds of people sent me messages on my private accounts with the most hurtful words you can imagine in the last few days, all without knowing the full truth of what we have been through.
“I am asking for peace and privacy (and no more hate messages) in the future,” Mady added.
The statement comes after Collin criticized his mother Kate on the VICE TV docuseries.
The teen claimed his mother, the reality star, “opened up a social barrier” between him and his siblings.
Collin found fame with his seven siblings, twins Mady and Cara, now 22, and sextuplets, on the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 when they were very young, but these days, they’re far from the happy family once depicted on the much-loved TLC show.

Ongoing rift: Mady is not in a relationship with her father Jon at present

Explosive statement: Mady also claimed that Collin has “made his views very clear in private”
‘So, my mother, she’s very controlling. She’s determined, she knows what she wants and she gets what she wants,’ she stated in The Dark Side of the 2000s.
“I think my mother created a kind of social barrier between us. She told the story one way, and obviously I see the story another way,” Collin added.
After Jon and Kate’s acrimonious separation in 2009, the eight children continued to live with their mother, until 2016, when Collin was sent to the Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute in Philadelphia.
His father, Jon, previously claimed that while Collin was “caged up” for three years, his cruel mother only visited him three times, less than two hours in total, refusing to tell him where her son was.
Collin was subsequently transferred to another facility in Pittsburgh, and that’s when Jon began a $1 million legal battle for custody. He also won custody of Collin’s sister, Hannah.
Unfortunately, the fallout from the custody battle for Collin created a permanent rift between the Gosselin brothers.
Hannah, also 19, also spoke on the docuseries and confirmed that her brothers and sisters are aware of what happened to Collin.
“We didn’t speak to Collin for years while he was at the facility, we didn’t even know where he was,” she explained.

‘That’s like a very dark part of our past. They don’t talk to Collin. They all eventually found out what happened to him, but now they decided to just not be in a relationship with him.
Jon, 46, is also separated from six of his children and has no idea why they no longer speak to him.
‘I do not have access to the children from whom I am separated. I have no idea why they stopped coming, I have no answers, like none, it’s the worst,” Jon told VICE TV.
“I’d rather they say, ‘You’re an asshole, I hate you, you did this to mom…’ I don’t have anything, I don’t have closure.’
He also revealed that he spent $1 million in his legal battle to gain custody of Collin, who currently lives with him.
But once Jon was awarded custody and Collin moved in with him, the truth came out.
“That was a big thing for me because I couldn’t understand why my mom would do that to one of our brothers, to her own son,” Hannah said.
The teen has yet to comment on her older sister’s statement, instead posting two photos of herself on Instagram modeling a pair of skintight black cycling shorts.
With her long hair braided to the side and clutching a pair of sunglasses, Hannah smiled at the camera and simply captioned the post: ‘girl from Texas,’ along with the cactus emoji.

Side Hustle: Since leaving the world of reality TV, Collin has returned to his job at IT, but he also does DJ appearances.
Meanwhile, his father Jon took to his Instagram Stories to promote an upcoming DJ appearance in Kissimmee, Florida on July 28.

Jon previously told DailyMail TV in 2019 that he may never forgive Kate for sending their son away.
“Aside from ADHD, which is extremely common, Collin has never been diagnosed with any known medical conditions, there’s nothing wrong with that,” Jon explained.
But Kate sent him away, she couldn’t deal with him. He was alone for three and a half years with no parents, all locked up. He was inhuman.
