Legendary singer and actress Barbra Streisand has praised John Travolta’s daughter Ella Bleu Travolta and her song Little Bird, a song she wrote about the loss of her mother Kelly Preston.
The 82-year-old icon shared a snap of Ella, 24, as she appeared on morning show Sunrise, and wrote a gushing caption about her on her Instagram page.
“We are so proud of you and love the song you wrote for your beautiful mom. We love you. Barbra and Jim (her husband, James Brolin),” she wrote.
Kelly died of breast cancer at age 57 on July 12, 2020.

Barbra and John have been friends for years.
She shared a sweet tribute to her friend on her 80th birthday in 2022, revealing that she sent her a video wishing her a happy birthday, which she also posted on her Instagram page.
In the clip, John called her a “force of nature” and said there weren’t “enough words to describe how special this human being is.”
Ella’s song, Little Bird, was released on September 6 as a single, which will be on her upcoming EP called Colors of Love.
It was the last song he wrote for his EP.
The song is about coping with loss, he explained in an interview with People Magazine.
“I grew up under public scrutiny, and that comes with a lot of attention, especially when you lose someone,” she told the outlet.
“There is definitely the natural support and global support that comes with that,” he added.
“But then there can be a natural input and an expectation of how you should feel or how people assume you feel or how other people feel, that adds to it.”
She said the song focuses on holding on to “those pure relationships” a person has with loved ones they lost, and the memory of that.
“It’s kind of the point of view of a mama bird talking to a baby bird and not letting any other interference come between them, because her true instincts were there all along,” she told the outlet.
The Little Birds music video features home videos of Ella and her 13-year-old brother Benjamin with their mom Kelly and dad John, as well as her late brother Jett, who died at age 16 in 2009 after hitting his head in a bathtub after having a seizure.

John proudly shared the new song on his Instagram page on the release date, September 6, and also revealed that it was his wedding anniversary with Kelly.
They would have celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary.
“This is a very special day. She is releasing her new single called ‘Little Bird,'” John wrote on his Instagram.
“This song and video is a tribute to her mother, and it’s also my wedding anniversary with Kelly. It’s one of the songs on her upcoming album that I helped produce. Please enjoy!” he said.
