John Pearce and his pregnant wife Jessie Adamo marked a major milestone this week as they prepare to welcome their first child together.

The Purple Wiggle, 33, took to Instagram on Wednesday to give an insight into his wife’s pregnancy and revealed that their baby girl kicked for the first time.

However, he shared his irritation in a tongue-in-cheek video when he revealed he had missed the key moment and had yet to feel any kick.

In the hilarious clip, John is seen standing next to Jessie as she relaxes on the couch while they lip-sync a scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

“Make it move,” John was heard saying out loud as he sang the line spoken by Dudley Dursley (Harry Melling) in the popular film.

Leaning down to speak to Jessie’s baby bump, John hilariously demanded: “Move!” before adding “it’s boring,” in reference to the iconic snake scene from the 2001 film.

“I try to feel the first kicks but I always miss them,” she wrote in the caption. “Apparently he’s been moving all day.”

John and Jessie, who tied the knot in 2019, confirmed they were expecting their first child together in a post shared on Instagram in June.

They tied the knot in a private ceremony in October 2019 and will celebrate their fifth anniversary together later this year.

In April, John told Daily Mail Australia that he had “always been excited to have children.”

“I think fatherhood has always been a question. I’ve always been excited about having kids,” he said when asked about possible plans for a baby.

“That’s something my wife Jessie and I have been working on for the last few years.”

She continued: “He has some health issues here and there that we are trying to correct. Once everything is ready, we will have children.”

“Having children is something we’ve both always wanted. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will happen soon. We’re definitely working towards it.”
