John Mulaney goes crazy for son Malcolm’s giggles as they enjoy a day at the beach with his partner Olivia Munn in adorable video

Date:

John Mulaney loved his son’s giggles in a sweet video posted to social media on Friday.

The comic, 40, who was recently spotted on a rare date night with partner Olivia Munn in Los Angeles, seemed happy as a clam during a family beach outing.

The nearly two-year-old sat on his father’s shoulders and laughed uncontrollably when his father asked, “Happy?” Clap happy?’

Olivia, 43, added to the adorable moment, writing: “His screeches at the end.”

Although she was not in the clip, she appeared to be filming, and her laughter could be heard overlapping John and Malcolm’s.

John has come a long way since the intervention and treatment that helped him recover from his drug addiction.

The funny man used his pain from the experience to laugh in his Netflix special Baby J.

The stand-up show received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Variety Special and Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special.

The Bear actor opened up about fatherhood and who’s in charge of his house in an interview on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast.

“I used to spin about so many things and I always wanted to be so smart and wanted to be this compound little pr*** and I’ve got nothing on my mind now but, ‘Yeah, Malcolm do that. Oh yeah, right. Baseball,’ he explained.

The Big Mouth star went on to describe the tyke’s nighttime ritual.

“Every night when he goes to bed, I say, ‘What time do you wake up?’ And he says, “seven,” and we both laugh. And we say “Deal” and we shake.’

Unfortunately, Malcolm’s inner clock is in a different time zone than his parents’ and swings up about two hours before that.

“This happened two Wednesdays ago. He says, “Baseball!” Immediately I say: “Do you want to play?” He says, “Game.”‘

“Now he and I are in the front yard, 5:10 a.m. In pajamas and jackets. And I take the ball and put it on the tee. And he’s holding a wiffle ball bat and saying, “Two bats.” So I give him another bat and now he has two,” he explained.

“And I put the ball on it and he says, ‘Dada do it,’ and I say, ‘Dada do it.’ And I hit that wiffle ball that far. And he says, ‘Yeah, well done!” on the right track.”

“I put a ball on him,” he continued, “and I said, ‘Malcolm does that? And he says, “Malcolm do that.” He hits the ball, which means he holds the bat against the tee with his hand and the ball falls off. Certainly. And I say, “Yeah, well done,” and he says, “Yeah, well done. Malcolm, well done.”‘

The doting dad described their antics as “we’re just two idiots at five in the morning, the floodlights, the lights on the Ring cameras going down, it’s so early.”

John will hit the road for several shows on the East Coast, joining fellow comedians Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson next month for their show Jon, John and Pete.
