John Lennon’s son believes Donald Trump should get rid of him, but admits one of Taylor Swift’s lyrics makes him “uncomfortable.”

Sean Ono Lennon, the only son of the late Beatles singer John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono, shared his thoughts on the former president in a post he shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sept. 15.

Lennon took to the platform after the Republican presidential candidate posted: ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’ on Truth Social following the pop star’s official endorsement of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, declaring: ‘Hating Taylor Swift is not a good look.’

Lennon, 48, said that while he has never been a fan of Swift’s music, he recognizes her as a “uniquely successful American.”

“She is a young woman who has done things that no one has done before. She is the kind of American who should be respected and, indeed, appreciated,” he wrote in the lengthy message.

“We need more Taylor Swift in our world, not less. People who continually and consistently thrive are exactly the kind of people both sides should embrace,” she urged.

She then stated that it is “not nice” for a “grumpy old man” to get angry with her.

“A more ‘presidential’ or kinder critique might have been something like ‘She’s a brilliant young woman. I have a lot of respect for what she’s accomplished. I don’t think she knows the reality of the party she supports. I hope her fans are able to make up their own minds and understand the big difference between a talent in music and a knowledge of politics or economics,'” he suggested.

“It’s not nice when an old man shouts at the moon,” he joked, before saying he would not support either party in the November election.

The following day, John Lennon’s late son returned to the platform to share that he had listened to Swift’s 2014 hit, Bad Blood, and admitted that he didn’t love it.

“I can’t believe I forgot this, but I remember a song by Taylor called Bad Blood (or something like that). I remember her rhyming ‘mad love’ with ‘bad blood’ and that made me a little uncomfortable,” he wrote in reference to the song.

“This is just to say that it’s not true, I don’t know any songs,” he clarified. “I know that one. I have nothing against her. I have a lot of respect for what she’s achieved. I certainly could never do what she does.”

Lennon, 48, posted his thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Swift signed her endorsement of Harris with “Childless Cat Lady,” a reference to Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, who said in a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson that America is being run by Democrats, corporate oligarchs and “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable with their own lives and the choices they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”

The singer has a massive fan base of Swifties and over 283 million followers on Instagram.

His post supporting Harris received more than nine million likes in less than a day and could help boost support for Democrats.

Previous posts by the star urging people to register to vote have been directly linked to a surge in registrations, with some of his biggest supporters closely following his every word.

Trump responded to the endorsement by saying he is “not a fan of Taylor Swift.”

“I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a matter of time. She couldn’t… it wasn’t possible to support Biden. Look at Biden. It wasn’t possible to support him,” she said on Fox & Friends the day after last week’s presidential debate.

He called Swift a “very liberal” person and tried to downplay her support for Harris.
