Two years ago he suffered a cancer attack.
Now, Australian music legend John Farnham, 75, appears to be on the road to recovery thanks to an outpouring of love from his fans.
And among those who left messages of support were Tom Jones, 84, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, 47.
Jim Farnham, 36, spoke out about the touching gesture of support for the beloved You’re the Voice hitmaker on Saturday.
“My mum gets video voice messages from Chris Martin from Coldplay and Tom Jones, which is quite funny, to check in on dad,” she told the outlet. Herald of the Sun.
John was declared cancer-free last August and surprised fans earlier this year when he attended the wedding of his eldest son, Rob, 44, and his new wife Melissa.
Elsewhere in the chat, Jim shared that it was his father’s wish to share regular updates with his followers as a tribute to his fans during his illness.
“There are a lot of people who love Dad and I don’t blame them. Some would consider him an icon, I definitely do, and we understand that.

“He always said that when people stop caring or don’t want an autograph or a photo, that’s a big red flag. That people still care surprises him,” he added.
“He’s a very humble guy and he’s very grateful for the career he’s had and the people who supported him.”
This comes after Jim and Rob shared an encouraging update on their father’s recovery.
They announced that their father is “staying positive” after having a cancerous growth removed from his mouth in 2022.
Among well-wishers who left messages of support for John was music superstar Tom Jones, the Herald Sun reported on Saturday (pictured from 2009).
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin also left a message to John’s family wishing him well. (pictured performing in Vienna this month)
“He’s doing really well,” Rob said during an appearance alongside his brother James on Seven’s Sunrise.
“Every day is another step forward, as it is for everyone who suffers from cancer,” she said.
“And he just has to keep moving forward and stay positive, and you know, keep moving forward.”
At one point during the segment, Rob appeared moved when Sunrise shared with viewers a photo of John at his son’s wedding in June.
The image, which shows a smiling John alongside his son in his wedding tuxedo, went viral after Rob shared it on his Instagram shortly after the nuptials.
John’s children also shared that they have signed up as Cancer Council Daffodil Day ambassadors.
On Instagram, the brothers shared intimate details about their father’s health battle ahead of the fundraiser.
“It started out as a mouth ulcer and then we found out it was cancer. It was a really tough time for all of us,” Rob said in a video.

Sadly, John is unlikely to return to acting after undergoing marathon surgery to remove the tumor from his mouth in 2022.
James also appeared, adding that initiatives such as Daffodil Day had played a crucial role in his father’s survival.
“Our father wouldn’t be here without cancer research and that’s why days like Daffodil Day are important,” she said.

The operation, carried out by 26 medical professionals, also included the removal of much of his jaw and, 12 months after the surgery, Farnham revealed he was cancer-free.
