Jofra Archer named in England’s starting XI for Old Trafford decider against West Indies after missing second test for breaking through biosafety protocols
Jofra Archer is back in England after missing the 113-run victory in the second test for breaching the biosecurity protocols.
Archer returns alongside Jimmy Anderson with Zak Crawley and Sam Curran.
England will be shielded from Ben Stokes’ all-rounder status due to an injury sustained during his heroic match-winning attempt in the second test.
He has been promoted to number 4 in the order Joe Root goes to 3, allowing England to name Archer, Anderson and Stuart Broad for the first time in a bowling attack.
Jason Holder won the toss and chose to bowl with above ground conditions, with one change from the previous test, as Rahkeem replaces Cornwall Alzarri Joseph.
