Joe Rogan says he wouldn’t have Russian President Vladimir Putin on his podcast, calling the dictator a “different kind of human” and “evil” despite saying he looks forward to hearing the show.
During tuesday episodethe controversial host sat down with comedian Burt Kreischer to discuss a wide variety of topics before the conversation finally turned to Putin.
‘You know, Putin has to listen to your podcast, right?’ Kreischer said, prompting Rogan to sarcastically reply: ‘I hope so. Hey, what’s up bro?
Rogan told the comedian that he would refuse to meet with Putin, he asked Kreischer “Are you crazy?” and he said to him: Hey, forget about all those people you killed who were your political opponents. Let’s be cool now.
Despite his objections, Rogan praised the Russian dictator for his ‘solid’ and ‘legitimate’ judo.

The conversation between the two began with the two discussing ongoing talks of a prisoner exchange between the US and Russia.
Rogan had put out an article detailing negotiations between the two countries over former Marine Paul Whelan, who has been detained in Russia since 2018.
It was then that Kreischer asked the podcast host if he would be willing to meet with Putin, to which Rogan did not hesitate to reply: “No.”
‘Wait, what’s wrong with your brain? I’d love to,” Kreischer said.
‘Why would you do that?’ Rogan responded.
The ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ host then brought up the story of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who once had his Super Bowl ring stolen by Putin.
During the 2005 meeting between Putin and Kraft in Saint Petersburg, Putin reportedly asked to try on Kraft’s ring, but later decided to keep it without asking.
“What about the possibility of you dating Putin and making him a cooler guy?” Kreischer pressed.
‘You’re crazy?’ Rogan said, questioning Kreischer’s theory.
“Be a totally different human being with a totally different background who was not in the KGB, who is not a dictator, who does not control information and controls what news is distributed to your people,” the presenter continued.
Rogan continued with his tirade, mentioning the system of oligarchy in Russia and saying of the dictator: “Obviously you are evil.”
Kreischer, laughing, responds to Rogan: “You will never receive an invitation speaking in this way.”
“Yes, it is not my concert”, answers Rogan severely.

The couple then turned the conversation to another dictator, North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.
“I still want to meet Kim Jong Un,” Kreischer said.
Clearly surprised by the comedian’s admission, Rogan replies, ‘Woah.’
‘Yes, I want to. S**t like that interests me,’ explains Kreischer.
The podcast host neither confirms nor denies his own interest in meeting the North Korean dictator, but says he has someone he would love to see face to face with Kim Jong Un.
‘What interests me is that Trump meets with him. That was interesting,’ said Rogan. ‘After he calls him “Little Rocket Man”, he goes to meet her. Shake his hand. They are all smiling. It’s a horrible game.
Rogan then described the atrocities North Korean citizens have faced because of Kim Jong Un, calling it “horrible shit.”
‘It’s horrible what they did. horrible shit. But it was all under the pretext of making a more equitable society, making the world more just and equitable,’ he said.
‘What’s the difference between shaking hands with our president?’ Kreicher asked.
“It’s a big difference,” Rogan said, explaining that he doesn’t entirely agree with how the United States works, but that he still believes in the system in general.
“The way this country is run is not perfect, but the way this country is run is fucking superior to any system anywhere else in the world,” he said.
“Because of the checks and balances that the founding fathers put in place,” Rogan told Kreischer.

The discussion about Putin and his dictatorship between Rogan and Kreischer comes just days after another controversial figure said they planned to do an interview with Putin before the NSA intervened.
In an appearance on the Full Send Podcast, Fox News host Tucker Carlson alleged that the National Security Agency broke into his Signal account and botched his interview.
‘How do you know the NSA broke into your Signal?’ asked one of the hosts.
“Because they admitted it,” Carlson replies.
The Fox host said he was asked to meet someone during a recent trip to Washington, DC, and told that they read his text messages and indicated that he had an upcoming trip to Russia planned.
Carlson said he had not told “anyone”, including his own wife, about the trip.
‘How did you know?’ Carlson said that he asked the person.
“Because the NSA took out the text messages with this other person that you were texting,” he said the person responded.
